How do I play LAN with my roommate ? We are both connected to the same router but I could not see his/my game. Firewall disabled too. help!

@zeally i had the same problem, but i read somewhere that u had to have another playername than the other guy. its by default SKIDROW. u can change it in some config file which name i cant remember (probably not in the install dir but in My Games maybe).
incomplete but i hope i helped.

This messed up Civ 5 for me, so I installed SKIDROW's update 7 (After re-extracting all the files from Civ 5's RAR just to be safe) Copied over the needed files, and that worked
And in order to change the name click "FIXER" and type in a name click "Change name" and over write
