Works fine on WinXP SP2. Just follow the readme file instructions and click generate a few times before using the serial. Scanned this myself with Avast and Malwarebytes. Not exactly the best AV apps but effective enough.
Make sure you disable the net before you install and apply crack. I disable the net anytime I use this app as it tries to auto-update and authenticate the serial. If you have a firewall I would block access for sure.

For people too stupid to use a freakin crack, here is some explanation. Companies like adobe use custom serials for each program sold. There isn't one set serial everyone can use like most video games. You can't ask for the one RobbingHood has (or however has the original), because it is all ready in use, by him.
Next, before you run the program (after installation), block the program from accessing the internet. This hinders the program from checking the serial you put in from it's database on the adobe's server.
And also, during installation, disconnect from internet so it won't connect after you enter the serial.

Safe torrent. Thoroughly scanned 20, 000+ files in 25 minutes with Kaspersky Internet Security 2010 and everything is clean.
Very easy install if you follow the directions. I decided I'd skip the step that says to add that line to your "hosts" file and kept getting asked to enter a new serial number upon opening the program, but once I added the line I haven't seen it again.

Im noob at this stuff but after some fidling around, i managed to get it working.
I can confirm there is NO SOUND. Unless you have to activate it or something. There is sound altering effects though. It's very complicated but if your good at photoshop etc. it should be useful.

Since everyone continues to think there isn't any sound I will confirm there is sound. Everyone is just confused as to how to render it. AE is a visual editor, not a sound editor. The only way to get sound is just using RAM preview. Look for the "Play" arrow with three bars before it. That is the RAM preview button... if everyone would look into the help section of Adobe under "Previewing Video and Audio" it cleanly explains it there.

It's NOT normal that a keygen generates trojan horses in the system folder. Please re-check your entries.

First of all, thanks for your reply.
Obviously, I DID unpack & run both the installer and the cracks (all of them).
I am well-aware of the existence of sandboxie, and the use of a sandbox or of a virtualbox (as I do sometimes) is commendable (I prefer the latter).
I did not find the need to report your torrent to the forum as fas as
1) it's NOT a fake
2) it DOES work (provided that you use precautions like a sandbox, as you stated already on the first page of the comments)
As a side note, Kaspersky does not detect anything.
Norton, as far as av-comparatives.org states in Dec.'09 results, is the one with fewer false positives.
Anyway, I've checked both in xp and win 7 (and again, in win xp within win 7)(yes, using a virtualbox).
It seems that it infects only older OS (is xp really old?), and the behaviour is the one of a trojan dropper. A trojan dropper is, still, a trojan horse. Both in VB & in xp the system folder "receives" from the interwebs new awesome files, like, I've stated, "systems.exe".
No need to be worried if you don't use XP I guess, neither if you unpack all the thing and run in a VB.
I appreciate the detailed AV logs in yours more recent releases.

In my point of view (and from the point of view of many engineer, I guess) it is really possible (and usual) that a program/string of code runs/"alleged viruses-or-sort-of" may run in certain OS e not in other ones. "Not all the women are the same", Sir.
It could be, anyway, that it infects win 7 as well and I didn't notice. If so, my fault.
As far as the first assertion you declined (a trojan dropper is still a trojan horse), well, a trojan horse is a program that facilitates the entrance of viruses et similia; in this case, it facilitate the entrance of "et similia". The file "systems.exe" I founded twice using the methodology I described was a trojan - dropped by keygen. I'm sure of that 'cause using VB with a clean install of xp inside can't get wrong. But no need to worry if you use sandboxie et al., as you stated many times.

Ok i have read the comments and I guess im the only one having a prob with this. I downloaded fine....when i extracted about 4 files came up as names are too long...so I moved it to my desktop...extracted again with no probs...went to install using that..long named exe...and it would extract again...then start installation...it would ask for a key or trial..chose trial...2 seconds in...instalation failed. I tried the setup.exe that was extracted from the other exe file...still same thing...2 seconds in and installation failed. Now ive downloaded and installed plenty of stuff so im not new to this....I dont get why I am the only one with this prob. Btw...I only want After effects...do I need all the other crap too to run it? Like Bridge or air or whatever? Thanx ahead of time...

The animation presets that are installed with After Effects are supposed to be in the Presets folder located in the Program Files\Adobe\Adobe After Effects CS4\Support Files (Windows), but there is no Presets folder there.

I've tried both crack options..
Couldnt get disable_activation.cmd to run, tried it in several ways, so I went for the fix option. There I replaced amtlib.dll file, just like it is explained in the readme file.
Still, everytime I open it the program gives an "license expired" error and shuts down.
I've tried reinstalling it, hoping I'd get another chance at it. But still the same errors occur.
Does anyone know what I can do to get this program running?

download was great thanks for seeding, but having trouble installing. unpacked the files and ran the adobe install. it seems to unpack all fine but as soon as the grey/purple adobe installer appears it crashes and says there is an error. I read every single comment.
In case you are in need of another explanation to why the crack is detected I will provide it.
Keygens are detected as viruses.
They are clean when downloaded from RobbingHood.
If you do not trust them then run them via SandBoxie which prevents them from editing files.
If you are missing the crack files then one of the two things happened:
1. You are a dumbass and allowed your virus scanner to delete it.
2. You are a dumbass and your virus scanner deleted it on its own because robots are growing smart and making decisions on there own and you should move somewhere without any electricity and hope that the robots don't find you and brutally beat you to a squishy pulp and then implant a chip in your skull that turns you into one of them.

From what i read its nasty little trojan that sticks itself onto other files and eventually crashes and corrupts every file on your system.

A lot of people use AVG, because it was once known as the best free anti-virus out there. Nowadays it's the biggest crap of them all. Get something like G Data; that one really rocks.
Anyway, RobbingHood, this torrent is really great; extremely fast download, good quality etc, but the only problem I had using this torrent is that after opening the software for the second time, it'd just give me an error that I can't continue, because I have a wrong Serial key. I'll fix that somehow, I think.
The most annoying thing is that - also other people reported this in their comments - you can make a really nice video, but you can't export it... what's the use of spending hours on making a great movie / video and then just... delete it? Lol.
Besides that, this torrent rocks.

Guys if your having the media core fail when you open the program here is what to do...... i will go through the steps i did
1. download torrent (duh)
2.extract
3. run long named setup
4.close after it asks for serial....
5.run activation stoper in keygen folder(run as admin)
6. run setup in adobe folder
7.use this serial 1023-1672-4335-3452-3435-4566
8.install everything (i did not install the adobe media viewer as it got the installation stuck)
9.it will close out got to control panel>system and maintenance>system>on left side advance system settings>advanced tab>settings under performance>data execution prevention tab>check "turn on dep for all programs and services except those i select">add adobe after effects>(browse to it under hdd>program files>adobe>after effects)
10.click apply
11.run after effects as administrator(right click and click run as admin)

By the way, I found the fix for the export problem. (When you try to export a file, the whole program crashes)
In order to export your file, without everything crashing, just go to: Composition > Add to render queue.
When you have set all options correctly, choose "Render" and wait for your project to be rendered.

Then I tried the Fix. Downloaded great, no problems there and didn't encounter any of this malware people are talking about.
However the X-force keygen does not work and neither does the extra ACS4MC one either (I tried it and got a message saying that the license had run out for adobe, so presumably it worked on some level.)
Also, the file 'amtlib.dll' doesn't appear to be anywhere other than in the 'Fix' folder. If someone could clarify that part of the instructions for me that would be great.

Vista Users! If you experienced freezes during the initialization follow these steps:
1) When the setup finishes at 90%, open task manager but do not close setup.exe yet. (ctrl+alt+delete)
2) goto start>run and type in appwiz.cpl (or open programs and features from control panel - add/remove programs in xp control panel)
3) you should see whatever you attempted to install show up in the program list. Click on it as if you were going to uninstall it. Once it is highlighted (without running uninstall) close setup.exe using the task manager in step one then click uninstall in the program list. setup should continue as usual.

Like how a vaccine is a virus, but it's a helpful one. If this makes you uncomfortable, you can buy the software from the manufacturer. The serial number problem I mentioned earlier seems to happen when you open up AE when you're connected to the internet. So, don't run AE when you're on the internet!
