FF7 OST Remastered Edition contains all of the original tracks but are remastered with REAL HIGH quality instruments (samples). So it sounds a lot better than the original version on both PC and PSX Why ? Because I'm a big fan of N. Uematsu :-D Usage ? You can try this with the amazing Ficedula's FFVII Music or just listen to it if you are a fan of the music PLEASE NOTE: 1. I will not give any kind of tech-related support for software (search the forums) 2. These tracks will not loop correctly in FF7 due lack of cue support in mp3 3. These tracks are not meant as a remix so they will stop abruptly since there based on the original MIDI (which has looping fonction) *** Here is a small word from FinalFanTim:*** "I gave it my all to let [the tracks] all sound the way i felt when i first played FFVII on the PSX. The problem is...MIDI instruments don't always sound as real instruments...so i had to deal with complicated stuff like different velocities, volumes, reverb, panning and convert that to real instruments. Nothing personal against you of final fantim, thought i should let everyone know:
personally, being a fundamentalist i find this remaster appalling, if you want to hear a better instrumental find the soundtrack by the black mages, nobou's group, they sound so much better than this mix in my opinion. given the knowlege of them and access to the original, i wouldnt dream of listening to this torrent. my personal taste, to each his own. this sorta killed it for me a bit on the inside. its getting deleted, waste of 20 minutes to download.

IMO this 'remaster' sounds HORRIBLE!
I don't know what you did to it, but comparing it against the original, the tracks sound muddy and soaked in reverb, or some other effect.
I'd advise others to check some tracks against the original version before downloading it, and you'll see what I mean.
