To uninstall completely, do the following:
- First uninstall normally
- Delete following reg entries:
START -> RUN -> regedit


- Check in device manager for Patin-couffin driver (under "VSO devices") and remove if necessary.
To be completely sure you can look for
pcouffin.sys
in C:\Windows\system32\drivers and delete if still present.
- Reboot your system

Hey BTGuy, you are the best !! I have been using most of your software and indeed uploaded a lot of them to thank you.
But this Beta version (3.0.0.1) had many bugs and a new public non-beta version just came out today (ConvertXtoDVD 3.0.0.7) March 19th. I really hope you can work on it very soon since it repaired bugs with the aspect ratio, *.mkv delay problem with audio, and a lot more...
I hope you upload ConvertXtoDVD v3.0.0.7 (or higher if you have some contacts ;) ) as soon as possible please, I can't wait to burn *.mkv's (like .avi but for HD videos) to DVD.

When the program is downloaded and entered into my C downloads folder, do I open the Active X Folder and then copy the patch folder inside it or what.

If it is an .avi file you have and want to view on your TV trough your DVD player you need this software, it converts it for you. Most DVD or none (not sure) supports .avi files. If it is an Xvid or DivX file format you can burn it directly to a disc but make sure your DVD player supports these two file types.
What also is great with this software is that it can integrate subtitles (.srt) to the movie, a major plus.

n3091 get a program called dvd flick (apologies to poster but he already said no go on this.... ) dvd flick will handle that double avi no prob whatsoever... free, easy as hell to use. itll handle avi mp4 mkv whatever you throw in there only problem ive ever had with it is it doesnt like 6.1 audio so much

eqspartan, what you need to do is stop the download in your bitorrent client, right click on the torrent and select manual hash check. It will either complete the file or let you know if u still have more to DL!

Hi, I'm new to this so I just hope that you can help.
I have down loaded the ConvertXtoDVD to my desktop, I cannot get to the (open setup) as when I click on it, a box opens up saying
(open with) and that I require a programme to open the file, Im stuck at this point.
Also, your instructions say to (Copy Patch file into the program directory) where can this be found.
Just hope someone can help another with no experience in this.

Is this the trial? I don't know if ive gone and done something wrong. I converted AVI and burnt it using this same app. and when i go to watch it in the DVD player. I keep getting a pop up every 10 seconds saying "Buy and unlock key, to convert without this message, www.vso-software.fr"

i'm a little confused...i downloaded this torrent and had it working great, then windows did some update, restarted and then convertx wouldn't work right. so i deleted all files related to convertx and redownloaded the torrent it still wont work. its acting like it doesn't have the patch in it. i'm going to try redownloading it again, hoepfully that will work. otherwise i need some help.
