Although I haven't found subtitles either, I think they're out there somewhere.
The filename of the film is vmt-notbeloved-xvid.avi. Since Googling for vmt-notbeloved-subs gives a few results in the alt.binaries newsgroups, I think subtitles *were* included in the scene release of this movie, but that someone in the distribution chain goofed and forgot to include them.
