4 Rare 80s Albums [Part 39] Post-Punk Dark Wave

A few of my recent listens and all on my all time favorite list. Enjoy and seed. keep this great music alive and available to the others as well. By the way I will get to your requests too. Many of what you're requesting are not on my HD. *17 Pygmies - Captured in Ice [1985] This is state of the art for 1985 college radio---totally obscure but one listen will invoke a "Killer Song, dude---Who are these guys". *Cuddly Toys - Trials And Crosses [1981] I really love cuddly Toys. They made one of the best albums of all time; Trials and Crosses. What we have are some quite wonderful songs from a great band who should have been big and I mean BIG. *Gardening by Moonlight - Methods in the Madness [1983] Rich, pure and astonishingly subtle, Gardening by Moonlight's first album offers layer upon layer of magical invention. Crescendos of percussive symmetry form a backdrop for cleverly twisting atmospheric tangents that elevate GBM to the status of Thomas Leer and bands like Shriekback and The Cocteau Twins. John Johnson on drums and vocals is the musical dice man who traces the revolving, percussive patterns for Duncan Bridgemans pumping synth to decorate. *I'm So Hollow - Emotion / Sound / Motion [1981] I'm so Hollow were a quartet from Sheffield, that used traditional rock instrumentation, as well as tapes and treatments to present a tormented form of new wave, blurred between catchy melodies, anguished rhythms/vocals and frozen atmosphere. Subtle variations characterize the most interesting songs. Check "Unbroken Line", (based on a slow-motion piano pattern & horror synth effects), "Touch" (set upon a line of feedback, robotic beat & warm vocal harmonies), "Emotion/Sound/Motion" (whose first part is a moody synthscape, while the second part explodes to a suspenseful rhythm groove).

Superb upload, 80zforever! I've been trying to hunt down Cuddly Toys and Gardening by Moonlight forever and now here they are in one convenient torrent! I cannot thank you enough for these. 17 Pygmies is a revelation and it's great to finally have a decent copy of Emotion / Sound / Motion. You my friend are the next best thing to a time machine!
Would you happen to have Author! Author! by Scars from 1981?

Thanx for the uploads, I was not familiar with those bands. I'm listening now to 17 Pygmies, it's kinda nice.
Among the bands that U have uploaded and that I didn't know, I like particularly Hambi & the Dance. Would U have their album Heartache?
Also Pink Military. I like their song Did You See Her. Would U have their album: Do Animals Believe In God?
Last, not to make this list of requests too long. Ahahah. Would U have the S/t album of the Roaring Boys, I love the song House Of Stone.

Hi Mikey, I am glad you liked these. I am sure I have Hazel Oconnor cover plus album (somewhere) and will post it for you. Bim Factory single, is that with the song Romance? If that's the one I have it. I don't have Clare Grogen Love Bomb single and from Annabel Lamb I have another LP nut none of these (as far as I remember). By the way Mikey were you the one who had that great weblog of must of been a hit?

Nice one. Natural history please. I used to have this but it got nicked years ago. It was listening to i'm so hollow which i'd just downloaded that reminded of march violets and how much i like them. A happy accident without a doubt. Thanks again 80z :)
