Description:

BBC Horizon: Are We Alone in the Universe? This program explores the possibility of life on other planets. What is the answer? Well, of course, we're not alone! The laughable Christian idea of Adam and Eve and a creator god who made us in his image is and - for that matter never has been - tenable in view of the vastness of the universe. There are billions of stars out there with billions of planets. Who are we but a speck of dust! Just imagine when we do find intelligent life on other planets maybe hundreds of years from now in the future: will we preach the gospel to the aliens? Will we tell them about the rantings of that ignorant Arab nomad who preached the Kingdom of God thousands of years ago? Will we translate the bible for them and set up missionary schools? I think not! It's time that mankind grew up and abandoned all childish ideas about some god creating the universe! Also check out my other torrents: A War on Science by Richard Dawkins, The God Delusion by Richard Dawkins, Debunking Christianity by Derren Brown, and the highly entertaining short videos by British comedian Pat Condell. Anyhow, what we little human beings think may soon be irrelevant anyway since we're in the process of destroying our own planet (watch: 'An Inconvenient Truth by Al Gore'). Or if pollution doesn't destroy the planet surely the USA's endless wars of aggression will finally wipe out humanity or throw it back to the Stone Age. Some, of course, argue that Bush and his cronies are already there! (watch: 'Breaking the Silence by John Pilger' and 'Fighting the Taleban by Sean Langan'). Also watch the film 'Contact' (based on famous astronomer Carl Sagan's novel) starring Jodie Foster, which explores the SETI program from Hollywood's perspective.

Statistically mankind knows close to nothing about the Universe and what created it, Your1God. That means that you and Freedomlover statistically are plain stupid ignorants in 2008.
If a God created the world, God created the Universe as well with all is complexity...

Yes you said it. Mankind knows close to nothing about the universe. So to assume that you know there is a God, when mankind really knows nothing about the universe, let alone what might be outside it, implies you raise yourself above us mortal men?

Thealamo...believing in God and science is not only ridiculous, it's completely hypocritical!
Science clearly demonstrates that nothing on earth (or the known universe) was created.
I suppose you're also a vegetarian than loves steaks?
Cretin.

Science demonstrates God doesn't exist?
Dude...There is no way to prove or disprove a god-being's existence.
If they exist, it is outside the realm of scientific inquiry.
Since they would have created the physical laws that govern our universe, they would have to exist beyond that which we are capable of grasping.
Science deals with the reality it can investigate and study.
Not with philosophical ponderings.
Although Scientists often do.

@corthew
If any gods exist which do not interact at all with humans, then the question of their existence is as impossible to measure as it is irrelevant.
However, the god of Abraham is supposed to be able to communicate with humans. That is most definitely within the realm of science - and that millions of "christian scientists" are utterly unable to provide anything approaching objective proof of this alleged being's existence therefore speaks volumes.

Whenever I hear 'god' now, I always replace it with "Invisible Pink Unicorn" in the sky. Seems to work for me.
