Paul McCartney (Beatles) - Wings Over America 5.1 DTS Upmix This cd was created using Adobe Audition 1.5 and SurCode DTS version 1.0.21. The bin and cue files were generated by PowerISO 4.4. This is the 1999 Japanese reissue of Wings Over America. The discs were ripped securely through EAC, and converted into FLAC files through EAC. The files were then converted to wav files then Adobe was used to create the 6 channels. Finally, SurCode was used to encode to DTS surround sound. Please note: The artwork that is included here is not from the Japanese 3 album set but from the 2 CD disc set. I did not have any artwork from the Japanese set, but the two discs encoded to 5.1 DTS follow the list from the two cd set. I checked this out on my surround system and all 6 speakers are active. Please leave a comment after you listen to this and let me know what you think. This is my third cd conversion to 5.1 DTS surround cd. I solicit constructive criticism, but please don't flame. This sounds great crancked up on my surround stereo so I thought I would share this with others. I do not have a 5.1 system with which to enjoy this as you do. Can these files also be played in standard stereo? If not, how about making the original stereo mix of the Japanese 2CD set available too?

I've downloaded twice. Each time coming up with cd1, and cd2, but neither are of a kind that I can open. Any thoughts?

I mounted the image file from both discs and the only sound that came out of any of the songs is static.

YOU NEED A DTS DECODER TO PLAY THESE DISCS! They will not play on a regular CD player. Play them on a DTS-compatible DVD player through 5 or 6 speakers. Also, the files should play on VLC Media player on your computer. If you play them on a non-DTS device, you will only get static and possibly damage your speakers.

So the files will play on a computer, but it's 1.15 GiB and music on a computer usually sounds lousy. Why not just make a regular FLAC CD version that people can listen to on a good stereo with a CD player? That's kind of what the original Wings Over America CD was designed for.

I downloaded it and playerd on VLC. I haven't heard it since 1977 but is this another concert? There's much more crowd noise in the beginning & I don't remember some of the comments by Paul between songs.
It sounds sensational, after all these years. I was at the Kingdome show in Seattle & I believe "Let Me Roll It" from this album is from that show.
Well worth downloading VLC to listen to this album.
