This torrent sucks ass because it doesn't work on WinXP even though I installed it correctly. And reading other peoples comments about having issues with the game I suggest don't waste your time with this torrent.

Taking my word back about not working torrent.
It actually works but with different crack - the game didn't start with the crack which comes with this torrent so I tried crack from the torrent below and then game worked fine.

not working...I burned images to cd, but when I insert CD 1 and press install, I get the message: Cannot locate the CD ROM Please insert the correct CD Rom...bla bla you know the rest...so I can't even install it...WTF? Windows 7 Professional 64bit...

Possibly the worst torrent ive ever downloaded, mounts fine, then refuses to install in anyway shape or form, the crack cant be used because you cant install the game, horrible download 0 of 10.

right click setup.exe which is inside the cd-rom
choose (Properties) then in (Compatibility) tab under (Privilege Level) check mark (Run this program as an administrator)

steps i followed to make red alert 2 works.
1-converted disc 1 from mdf/mds format into .iso format
2-installed
3-updated to 1.006
4-copied all *.mix files from cd1 and cd2 to installation directory
5-downloaded 1.006 crack from here (zcrack
6-moved ra2.exe from crack folder to installation folder
7-run ra2.exe in 98 compatibility mode and as an administrator mode

so i'm trying to play on lan, i have the wsock dll file or whatever it's called, so i can start lan, but when i try to play a game, i get "[name] does not have [insert map name here]"... what do i do? :(

Hey @imcourier, I'm sure you mean no harm, but why aren't you replying us. I still have the "insert CD" error message. I've tried everything, but it seems that the file it self is corrupted.
This is the worst torrent game I have ever downloaded, 2 precious gigs without getting to even use them...
I'm very upset with this torrent. Thumbs down :(

for all the people that cant install the game cuz of an error called insert cd rom or whatever just make 2 virtual drives and mount both allied cd and soviet cd on each drive and run the setup from the allied disk and it will run smoothly
as i tested after trying a lot of methods for it
