Half Life 2 Cider was 3Gb too.
It was a .zip file. When u unzip it, it's a 3,35GB big Game ;)
This One is only 20MB bigger then Half Life 2 Cider.

Yes we are... and we've been having problems with the SPORE version of Cider. If we can't fix the problem then Portal, TF2, HL2e2 will not work on GMA950 cards. I recommend someone on a Macbook who got this torrent to tell us if it worked or not, and if it didn't what this person's bug was. God sometimes EA pisses me off. :P lol

thanks! + its working on my macbook pro with graphic settings on medium, crashed and quit a couple of times when i was rushing around levels but it prob wouldnt with lower graphic settings. it said c++ error with graphics or something.

i have installed it , ok , and the game open by itself . I tried to go to menu with "tab" ,enter" and the arrows and i can do it .
i succeed to enter to the fonctions'options) but i don't know how to change keys , which is unplayable until now . If any good people might help me , i will be thankful for help me to get rid of that unexpexted problem . Regards from Peter .

Can someone help me with this. I am on a 2ghz macbook with 4gb of ram and the GMA950... I can run half life 2 fine, and I know I cant get HL2EP to work. But Episode 1 should work, and all that happens when I run it is the screen goes black and then it terminates.... any ideas?

Did a little messing around trying to get the opening menus to work.
Try setting your display prefs to 1024by768 stretched in system preferences.
Now try launching the game.
It's not the best solution, I'd rather play at 1680 by 1050, but this does get the mouse to track so you can setup your options and load games without a struggle.
Kudos to the porter - good stuff!!!

The game weights 4 gigs, and Portal or Episode 2 are about the same when unzipped, can you send me the link to where you downloaded Cider or please tell me how to fix this, thanks.

Hi I have a little (weird) problem with Ep. 1...
When I play from the start I can save/load games correctly during session.
If I exit the game and then relaunch Ep. 1 if I try to load a savegame I have a C++ error on hl2.exe. I played correctly HL2, Lost Coast, Portal without any similar issue...

i have a bug...when im in the citadel in the core at the beginning...when you have to shoot the energy ball in those reciever things on the walls...i believe its the fourth one (first one in the first room) when i shoot the ball in it the game crashes...every time and i cant get past it...any suggestions?
