PLEASE PLEASE read carefully before writing erroneous comments
This is obvoiusly VL edition, VL means Volume License. You have to enter a VLK Key (Volume License Key) nothing else. Retail keys does not work on VL edition and vice versa for sure. Your old keys does not work because they are Retail keys not VLK. once you entered a valid VLK key, windows will be activated OFFLINE automatically, no need to activate online or by phone.

"nostradumbass": do you expect microsoft to privode a valid key in unattended.txt file ? are you kidding? that key is just meant to complete the installation of windows if you dont have one yourself. it doesn't activate windows offline, nor you can activate it online by that key.
Like I said before, find MSKey4in1. after running KSKey4in1, from the "Product Family" drop down list, choos "Windows XP Pro. VLK" NOT "Windows XP Pro", then press generate button and get as many VLK keys as you want.
Remember, activation is different from validation, that means the VLK keys will activate windows forever and your windows will never expire, but they will not pass the genuine validation required for getting many updates and downloads from microsoft, for this you have to use the WGA crack.
and just a reminder: VLK keys only works on VL edition(This torrent) dont expect them to work on Retail version.

There is a bug in XP SP3. If you slipstream XP SP3 into your XP-install-folder-files (e.g using nLite) in Windows Vista, the VLK-keys does not work at all.

Microsoft has finally made the Windows XP Service Pack 3 Network Installation Package for IT Professionals and Developers available from Microsoft Downloads.
Additionally, Microsoft also released a x86 ISO image of Windows XP SP3 standalone update CD. Currently there is no SP3 update for Windows XP (x64) because the kernel is based on Windows Server 2003 (x64) which has a separate update time-line.

OK... I'm seriously new to bit torrents... and I'm a mac jockey. I need to install windows XP on a virtual machine (on my mac). So, being a mac guy... how do I go about getting a method to 'break' a torrent... ie, after searching I don't seem to find anyway to get something like MSKey4in1 for use on a mac.

"stangilbert" I couldn't realize that what problem exactly you have, 2 possible I could think of:
1. You want to download this or any other torrent but you cant find any application to do that for you in mac
2. You downloaded this torrent and you want to install Windows XP in a virtual machine under mac but you are looking for MSKey4in1 that could be run in mac to get your key to be able install Windows
In case (1) I have no idea because I dont now any thing about mac or where you can obtain a bittorrent downloader for mac but in case (2), there is no MSKey4in1 to work in mac, instead you should run MSKey4in1 in a Windows OS and write down your key then install Windows with that key or you can use the key that "danbotz" posted above : V2C47-....

1. This is NOT an OEM version of xp
This IS Volume License Media (a.k.a. VOL or Corp)
2. There is no ON-LINE activation
This uses SLP activation. (OFF-LINE) Which means you need a Volume License Key.
3. You WILL need to use the latest WGA crack for updates.
4. Read danbotz comment (it might solve both of these problems for you.)

hi guys, can u plz help me sort out this problem.
i am able to extract the contents succesfully.when i try to install this , the dos version of setup runs successfully, and after restart, when it gets into the gui installation, i am getting an error, like some unexpected error occured, a file rtndcd.dll missing. sorry dont know the exact file name. bt if i install it from command prompt using i386\winnt.exe i am able to install. the problem is i am not able to intall it through cd, in a sata hard drive , where we cant boot to dos. so plzz help....

anfjavid: You should solve the SATA Problem. you need sata drivers diskette. During the very first seconds of the installation, press F6 key, and later in the middle of loadind files & drivers step, setup will prompt you to choose additional drivers from your diskette. dont go through dos promt, install from CD & do the above instructions. if your PC/Notebook does'nt have floppy drive, try to SlipStream the SATA drivers to your XP installation source with "nLite" tool(http://www.nliteos.com). If you installed this release you should check to make sure you are not secretly sharing your C drive.
Right click on your C drive, click on "properties" then click on the "Sharing" tab and make sure that the button "Do not share this folder" is filled in!
for some "strange" reason the drive was being shared but there was no little hand icons that indicates that it is being shared. and no, i dont have viruses on my computer.
just double check to make sure you are not sharing your C drive

@kashxk - slipstreamed means the service pack file is added into a folder that the windows install checks when it's done installing.
It doesn't actually turn an "XP Pro SP2" install CD into an "XP Pro SP3" install CD.
You can not slipstream *more* than one service pack, either... i.e. you can not take an "XP Pro SP1" install CD and slipstream both SP2 and SP3 into it.

First off you obviously don't know why people want the MSDN version..
You should use one of the pre-modified random .iso's passed around.. there is ALWAYS a million people adding torrents for those.
I will NOT use anything other than MSDN images.
And mouthy dumb ass, once someone add's anything to an MSDN image it is no longer an untouched clean image.

I know this torrent is very old, but I am still going to say thank you for posting it.
To everybody else whining about this, I would much rather have an original torrent, and do my own modifying, one that will pass the checksum's provided by Microsoft, than having someone else fuck with the image - in any way, no way to verify what all has been changed.
I know this was posted 4 years go, but thank you if you are still here.
