Yes this game will install on your PC, I have the activation code as I purchased the game and for obvious reasons am not willing to release it! I am hoping that someone will play around and manage to crack it. It is an online activation! The only idea I have is to create a new torrent with my instalation files which within theory allow you to play but will mean downloading shitloads more files, as it will not let me re-install so i cant find the file required. I'm hoping someone like Reloaded can crack it for you guys or if anyone has any suggestions for please let me know. Have not come across this activation method before, but look on ther brightside guys, its not in Russian which seems to be the only other option out there with still no crack.

It will not let me install into another directory without uninstalling and as it is installed and is now activated, it is not in my interest to uninstall it!if I unistall it it will deactivate my key code.As I said, I have never come across this type of security before but am sure it will not be long till someone cracks it. I have trawled the game directory but have still not established wether the activation adds an additional file or changes an existing 1 in some way. Well guys at least a shit load of you have this now, all you gotta do is wait for the crack and feel sure it wont be long. Been playing the game on and off over the last few days ( limited myself to only 2 counterstrike sessions so i could seed lol ) and I can tell you it will be worth it but will need a fairly high end pc to run.
I'm runninng it at 1280 x 720 all effects on high and its looking lovely with no slowing down.
My system spec is:
Asus P5N32-E SLI M/board
Intel Quad Core Q6600 CPU (not overclocked)
2 Gb DDR2 Ram
Windows Vista Home Premium 32 Bit
and only a 8500 GTS Graphics card (Needs upgrading lol).
Superb game and well worth the cash although I cant see much replayability once finished as so far is very linear.
I would like to thank all you guys that are seeding for seeding and I will continue to seeds as much as possible although I will be playing Counterstrike more as my game is really suffering not that I've ever been that good anyway lol althou I do have my rare moments when I learn the maps. Thanks Fisko, he's right guys, just checked gamecopyworld forums and they wont be putting 1 up, in fact if anyone even discusses in forums there going to be banned, lil excesive and hipercritical(as the site clearly encourages piracy by offering no cd cracks in the first place) I think! TippeX is clearly a bit of an arse anyway and doesnt really know what he is talking about. If you do enjoy this game when a crack comes out and decide to purchase it (which I hope you do because people do need to purchase software in order for developers to continue to manufacter) you will be able to resale once you have uninstalled the game, unistallation also reactivates your CD key. As for his brief review, yes the game is very beautiful, yes the camera angles and some of the controls can be a lil annoying at times (cant all survival horror games? e.g. Resident Evil 4)but this is clearly in par if not the best survival horror game out there.

You seem to have completely misunderstood what the scene is about. It's not about groups releasing cracks because they believe everyone should play games for free, it's about earning a reputation within the scene itself. Correct. gamecopyworld provide no-cd cracks on the assumption that you legally own the game and find putting the DVD in each time annoying. They are saying that with AitD this is not necessary so they are not releasing a no-cd crack.

If I understand correctly, you want someone to upload a website bought game(I assume your talking install files) and that would work(again assuming it come as an install) but then again that install maybe programmed to only install on that specific machine, alternatively you could go into a store(If there is one in you area) pick up the game, install it (with your key you have now) then bring it back and state that you didn't understand it required a internet connection and demand a refund

what is this shit about bioshock? you wanna know how i cracked it? i went to video world, installed it till the setup wanted to connect to the internet. and then, i NOT pressed on "ok", i just shifted and went to the installation folder, copied it, and pasted it into another folder. then i pressed "ok" and the installation was rolling back. BUT: the copied folder did still exist. no entry existed in my registry, but i started the exe of the copied folder and voila, it worked without any problems. this copied folder i burned also on a dvd to show the game to a fried. it was even possible just to start it from the disk xDD

But the same process just can't work here because of the online registration... Maybe someone qualified in that stuff (i'm not...) could try to understand the "paul.dll" thing...

Hmm. Simply copying a completed installation folder from one pc to another doesn't sound like it would work to me, since more is written during installation than the installation folder. For example, entries are made in the registry and they're not always purely for uninstall purposes. I suspect that with AITD2008, online activation will not only result in the addition/altered content downloaded to the installation folder itself, but also will result in information being read from and/or written to registry that will need to tally with key content in the installation folder to render the game playable.

At first, a error window appeared saying that lang.ini couldnt be found, but i deleted the lang.ini that came in the downloadable ".rar", and copy/pasted the original that came with the ".iso", and now when I run the game, its like a blank window, nothing happens.
Nice try btw, this could be the begining of the end.

the "keygen" of rapidshare is fake...it doesn't work and the crack on gamecopyworld is for only who bought the original game and want play it witouth dvd on it (or anyway who have a legit serial key)
so we're still not able to play this game...if future games will use this crack metod...well we're fuck up

But there's a rumor that Atari is close to bankrupcey if this game dosn't make it. Game have allready low ratings everywhere and it seems like that crackers are holding in becouse of support to Atari. If it's true I think we all should stopp nagging and just wait or buy the game.
I personally prefer that Atari releases more crapy games in the future for us to DL for free, than non at all.

Guys...this is the EXACT same copy protection used on Bioshock...i cant be the only one who notices this...im not a cracker but im pretty sure it is the same thing...the replies left in this thread almost mirror the first Bioshock torrent.it will get done , it just takes time.

Well guys, I just checked out gamecopyworld, seems there is a crack there now which is surprising as in their forums they clained they would ban peeps even if they discussed the subject! Full istructions included. I have not tried it as I own the DVD but good luck to you all and let me know how you get on.

Do you mean the No-DVD/Fixed Image on gamecopyworld? It is already up for several weeks but unfortuantely it does not bypass the activation process, it's only to play an activated game without the DVD.
