Each "chapter" has -the pinyin pronunciation (written and spoken) of the word for the animal (initial, final, then combined) -the english pronunciation 9written and spoken) of the word for the animal (not native English speaker) -a description, in chinese, of the animal -"neato" graphics (if you're a child) Frankly, I'm split on my opinion of this. Con: -Half of each .mpg is simply graphics designed to engage a child's attention. -English pronunciation is often quite bad -the pinyin does not include the tone marks Pro: -The initial, final, then combined pronunciation is actually quite useful. -It has the basic animals... dog, cat, elephant, etc. -It does include some animals not often seen in things like this, such as: --snow owl --dolphin --sea lion --squirrel ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes on the files: -Nothing fancy: VCD -> ISObuster -> .mpg ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comments/Thanks: Like anyone else, I appreciate comments, but they aren't really necessary.
