The game action takes place in space and on the surface of various planets. The genre of the game is freeplay RPG with FPS and space sim combat elements. "Precursors" and "White Gold: War In Paradise" are developed using the Vital Engine 3. It has shader 3.0 support and features various post rendering effects like HDR, motion blur and others. In comparison with the Vital Engine 2 the physics system has been improved and moreover, two of the main features of the engine are destructible objects, which will be found everywhere in the games, and support of one huge unified playing area. You will fight your enemies in space as well as on the surface of various planets. You will be able to work for different factions and carry out their quests to earn money, which is quite essential for your hero. The money will give you the opportunity to buy new weapons, make technical upgrades or repair your damaged spaceship. You can explore a planet's surface using a wide choice of different vehicles, but in space you will use only one ship which will be given to you at the beginning of the game. RPG stats will allows you to upgrade not only the personal characteristics of your hero but the technical abilities of your spaceship as well. Careful people, I've been playing this game for a while now with no problems, but a recent Avast scan of my computer reports a Win32:Malware-gen in the VELoader.dll game file. I also suspect that this might have been the cause behind strange changes in my firewall settings in regards to this game. I'm deleting this download just to be on the safe side.

Heard from a buddy that this game is great... so I am d/ling this to see if my comp can even run it before I go out and but it. D/ling a little slow so i will try to upload it a ton when done so as to help others out. Thanks for the up! Sounds like a great game.

game works perfect, however, everyone should know that there are ways to fix the lack of audio and other tweaks. If you don't want silence during the conversations with others (there will be english subtitles but no speech) - get the Russian Voices pack found elsewhere on the net. Also, I highly suggest d/ling the Unofficial 1.6 patch to the game which further enriches the game and fixes some other minor issues. The game looks and feels awesome...very immersive and bigger than I expected. There are MANY different worlds to explore on foot, and lots of quests...as well as a nice space battle/trade/merc sim as well. This game is basically a Fallout ++, not only looting, scavenging, questing on the ground, but much much more as well. I hope this company continues there great work so if you like it when you play it...buy it b/c they are an indi company and could use all the help they can get.
