The .srt file is in a dos format. Just open the file in something like VIM, copy all the text. Then create a new .srt file and paste in all the text.Thanks Asmall!!!!

The .srt file did not fully work for me either. I had to open it up in VIM, copy all the text. Then create a new file in VIM, pasting in all the text and executing the VIM command :set enc=utf-8, finally saving the file.Thanks Asmall!!!
