This actually caused my install to no longer work, wouldn't recommend it. winxp 32. Steam nocrack, installed with Phoenix and used the 20.8MB crack from ali23 and one of the updates previously posted.

For those who wonder what is going on with all these updates: The first 6mb Razor update was missing some files. YOU NEED THE REPACK. THIS, HERE, IS THE CORRECT ONE. The other, bigger one (222mb), is the same but uncompressed. I strongly recomment to visit rlslog and learn to use it in order to be able to watch what releases are out without relaying to uploaders.

I have noticed some other people posting on the various skyrim torrents on the pirate bay mentioning a crash to desktop as soon as the dragon lands and roars, just after character customization. I have this problem as well, but I haven't seen anyone address it. Has anyone found a way to fix this? I installed the update 1 and repack, I installed correctly, the game gets to that point every time, and I have new sound and graphics drivers. I even tried on the lowest settings, no v-sync, and after changing my sound settings. Still no luck. Please help if you can.

1. I INSTALLED THE SHIT AND COPY THE CRACK INTO THE INSTALLED FOLDER.
2. I DOWNLOADED THE (222.85 MiB) The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim Update 1 Repack-RazorDOX
UPLOADED BY DibyaTPB.
3 I COPY THE FILES IN THAT UPDATE FOLDER AND PASTED THOOSE FILES INTO THE INSTALLED FOLDER(Skyrim folder) AND REPLACE ALL THE FILES OFCOURSE!
4. THEN I CHANGED MY SOUND QUALITY OR SOMETHING TO (16 BITS, 44100 QUALITY)
5. THEN I ALWAYS STARTED THE GAME WITH THE LAUNCHER.

@Morphzrea -- it ssems to be a bug in the game -- temp fix is to favorite the spell - then use the Q menu and bind the spell to a number (0-9) by highlighting the spell and pressing the number - exit the menu and press the number you assigned twice to dual weild it ( or once after doing a different spell if you want to dual weild different spells.
@Ganjisha -- This crash is tied to the audio settings on your system - right click the speaker icon in your tas bar - Select Playback devices - Double click speakers - go to advanced tab - use the Default format drop down box to select 24 bit 48000 Hz (studio quality) - Apply and hit OK then try again and see if the crash still occurs.

Just wanted to repost to add this patch works great with the .dud download and using Phoenix to install then using the crack released. Also of note This patch fixes the interface problems when using a mouse can now select dual weilding properly without the need to use the temp fix !

Il post this here also cuz looks like its widespread, if using steam preload with the crack that includes Steamclient.dll it will crash at dragon landing, maybe not for all but it did for me.
using scene cracks work ok but still theres a crash at dragon landing or roaring, deleting game folder, using phoenix to extract again and using the crack from DibyaTPB fixes it.
*This was with Steam Preload
Dont extract to programs, E.g C/Program Files because of windows issues, use your own made folder, e.g C/Games
If crashing at start screen its most likly Sound or above issue make sure your sound settings are 24 bit 48000 mhz

Game is stable for me, but when I go to talk to alvor in the first town, I used all the options and can't get past that part.. So I tried installing this update and when I do it just makes it so I can't use the launcher to open the game. Any ideas?

I was able to make it past the dragon by F5ing constantly, but the game still crashes to the desktop seemingly at random every few minutes without warning or error message. I have tried to sound-fix to no avail. Do you have any ideas on how to fix this?

WTF? You really DO have to downsample to 48Khz for this to not sound like pure excrement. I do not do this for any other games and they all sound fine. This one however cuts and distorts sounds if you have your bitrate higher than 48Khz.
Bethesda, I am glad I did not buy this yet. I will wait until you make it work right before I give you my very limited funding.
To anyone bothering with the official forums/support, be certain to mention that the audio engine shits itself if you use higher than 48Khz. That is a bug.

This seems to be missing a file to fully extract. everything. I changed the extention of the first file to end in .rar. .001.rar to be exact. When I extract with winrar but it still asks for .r00.

Jaks70 - I used 7Zip and it recognized the archive and opened it fine. Not sure what format it actually is compressed in but it is one that 7zip recognizes.
@alcoholVitamin -- according to one post on the official forums he was able to get past that point by deleting the SkyrimPrefs.ini file in your My Documents\My Games\Skyrim Folder (doing this causes the game to remake it and sometimes clears up problems) - so worth a try !

Hi guys.I have a strange problem.The game won't let me progress in one point and it don't let me finish a Quest.!!I play an early quest of the game the "Golden Claws" where a trader in the very firts town u gow wants to find some "Golden Claws" for him.So i starting to play the quest and killing enemys in my way and i founded the "Bleak Falls Temple".I enter incide killing enemys and i found a room where there are 3 "Statue Pillars" on the left and one metal door in front of me with a lever.The lever can be pushed ok and it activates a trap some arrows that hearts u.But the pillars and there is the strange thing it says that u can activate them with the "Enter" button but they don't activate and nothing happens.I press the "Enter" button and nothing happens so i can't open the damn door.In any order they don't activate.I heard and saw in the past games that this stuff happens and people just standing or something and u can't complete a level or a quest or something.So anyone with the same problem.!?I used @Dudes Retail Steam Version of the game in the start with Ali 213 crack and then i uplied all the updates that i found but nothing happens.The same problem is there.Now i try to download Razor Version to see if the same thing happens there to.So u guys any help or any solution about this damn problem.???

1) go to http://www.7-zip.org/ and get 7-Zip it takes like 2 seconds
2) Extract all the files through 7-Zip to where ever
3) Then copy those files to the skyrim folder
then you are done it should work perfectly

I know there's quite a few updates available and after downloading most of them I figured out this is the one to get, the 128MB update 1. The 200+ MB update is simply this package unrar'ed. For people unfamilar with rar files, most rar packages start with a file with a .rar extension. But it's not uncommon to have the first file have
a .001 extension. Simply open the first file with winrar and extract.
On a side note to those having trouble with key bindings. It seems like the skyrim keymap is bugged once you change some critial keys. People are having issues not being able to drop items after remapping R. For a flawless remap, I'd highly recommend getting AutoHotkey instead of using the poorly implemented remap in skyrim. It's a free macro app which easily remaps keyboard and mouse inputs. Copy and paste this code into the default AutoKey.ahk text file and modify as needed. I'm goofy in the fact that I use WERD instead of WASD.
So the line "$e::w", basically reads as:
When script is active, the E key will work as W instead. F1 enables/disables the script so you can easily type normally by hitting F1 to suspend, and F1 again to resume playing with mapped keys.

I got to the ratway warrens in riften to talk to esbern, but when I get to his door, I talk to him but his subtitles are moving really fast and there's no audio. Then when I try to open the door, it won't open. I've tried using the TLC console command to get in, but it still wont let me talk to him. Anyone else having this problem? Please help!!!

Man.... Before installing this update, I only had a problem with the game randomly closing out. It didn't bother me too much since I got into the habit of quick saving often. After I installed it, my Skyrim is having the generic problems. I removed the update and re-installed it, but I still have the problems. Now, it crashes after the first loading screen from the menu. Anybody have any solutions? And I don't want to hear that "change your sound to blah blah blah" because I have XP and I can't do that.

Hey guys, For those wondering how to make these files work
Download 7zip (google is your mate) and then right click on the file with the extension ".001" and hit 'properties'
Then go to 'open with'
And click '7 zip' if it appears on the list, if not, click browse for program, go into the 7zip folder and set it to the file 7zipFM.exe by double clicking.

not sure why people are having probs, this is what i did step by step
1) Download.
2) Right click rzr-stur.001 and either click "Open" or "Open with"... and navigate to WinRar [its what i used, u can use other programs]
3) Extract to wherever.
4) Copy the ENTIRE contents of what you extracted [including the Data folder and all the files like atimgpud.dll and SkyrimLauncher etc] to the install folder, which for me is inside the " C:\Program Files (x86)\The Elder Scrolls V Skyrim " folder
5) Click "ok" or "yes" or whatever when it asks if you want to merge the Data folder, and click "copy and replace" for all the other things it asks, and click OK if it asks for permission.
6) Start the game from the "SkyrimLauncher"
7) Enjoy.
this was done on Windows 7 64bit using this version of the game
When in game you can see the version number i believe when u pause the game [where it shows the quests and u can go to settings etc] on the bottom leftish, and with this i believe it should say 1.1something.

is anybody else having this problem? I can zoom in on objects with C but I can't rotate them. The mouse buttons/wheel should zoom and turn each item, but none of that works for me. I don't know if it's the patch or my game specifically. Using this patch and Dibya's Razor upload of Skyrim.

If you're on Vista or Win 7 and you are still having problems with crash on the loading screen, check your sound/audio settings (Control Panel).
They should be 44100Hz at 24bit or 16bit.
This fixed it for me.

Fix Esberns voice:
In your install directory there is a file "\Data\Skyrim - VoicesExtra.bsa". You need to download the BSA Unpacker tool made for Morrowind. It will still work properly for the Skyrim BSA files. Use it ant extract the contents of that BSA to the same directory that the BSA file is. You'll end up extracting the files and they'll be placed in the directory After that, you're done. Just start the game up and try again.
I think you can do the same with Oblivion Mod Manager.

So, this patch actually fixed a few quests that were broken to me, but I did notice an odd bug:
After applying the patch and playing my existing file, I found that every faction I encounter (including Whiterun) is hostile towards me.

Help people, I downloaded and extracted everythings to the game file (the data folder files were extracted to the data folder) but all it did was crash on startup (after the bathesda logo). I tried deleating the update.esm file from the data folder, wich made the main menu enterable, but now it says my save data is currupted. Tried to start a new game, and it just stayed on the skyrim logo without doing enything for several minutes. HELP???

If your game crashes at or before the main menu, go to Control Panel>Sounds, double click on the audio device, and change the advanced settings to the 441000 Hz 24 bit.

Anyone know how to fix the "small screen" error? I execute the TESV.exe, but the problem is my game is in a small corner in the top-left and there's no settings in-game to change it. I try editing the SkyrimPrefs to:
bFull Screen=1
iSize H=768
iSize W=1360
but that didn't help. Any help please?

Seems to work perfectly. I just manually opened a file in rar, then from there extracted them all. Dual spellcasting enabled, but still no Hjerim fix :(

I'd just like to add, the paid for version isn't as buggy at all. I used the phoenix launcher thing to play my legit copy earlier than the release time and for some reason got some weird graphical glitches with massive pink shards jutting out of the landscape, which disappeared as soon as I ran the game through steam. To be honest, I love free stuff as much as the next broke guy, but if you didn't save up especially to pay cash for this EPIC game, or get someone with money to buy it for you, you deserve to have a buggy version of it!!

I do feel like performance has improved, though I don't know if it's become more stable.
What I do know however, is that the E, R and F keys don't work anymore (except for the R key, to store items)
In other words, I can't rename my enchanted items anymore, nor can I fav items or spells and mass crafting has become a major pain in the ass.
I think this update isn't worth the trouble after all.

Jesus idiot all their games are really buggy, my Fallout 3 on Steam still crashes from time to time. The games are all worth buying and the bugs are a part of the fun. You don't know anything about video games apparently.

btw if you'r using mods - and you definitely should - some require you to activate esp/esm files in the Launcher. To do that edit SkyrimPrefs.ini in (Win7) C:\Users\\Documents\My Games\Skyrim
and add the following line:
[Launcher]
bEnableFileSelection=1
now you can select data files in the launcher.

Telurium2 -- When you see numbered files like this you always want to open the first file in the sequence in WinRAR. Then when you extract it will do so from all the numbered files automatically. So merely open rzr-s1ur.001 with WinRAR and extract away.

I suggest to NOT download this torrent, it incorporates patch 1.2 which breaks as much as it solves.
For example, magic/poison/disease resistances no longer work, skill boosting enchantments don't work either, and occasionally dragons fly backwards!

If you are concerned that this will break your installation, simply make a backup of the game's install folder.
Right click>Copy>Paste
It is as simple as that. If the patch breaks the game, just delete the patched folder and remove " - Copy" from the name of the backed up folder.
It's tiring reading all these comments about how people are breaking their game installations when it could all have been easily preventable. The patch works fine on most systems. It may be your computer running fucking AVG, McAfee, 37 toolbars and registry cleaners at the same time that is making the game unstable or not launchable.

This is a must have for all ATI users. I had the problem with crashing video-drivers and "stuttering" graphics, but no more. This driver enables Crossfire for Skyrim, and if you use X-fire this is very likely to double your framerate like it did for me.

Hello,
before i installed this update, when i opened the game and after the menu loaded, in front of the submenu i was (for example if the Continue submenu was active) there was a thing after the submenu (like a +) and no cursor was available. With this update, there is no longer such a '+' and if the active submenu is Continue (bigger than the other submenus), when i hover with the cursor over the Quit Game submenu for example, and click on it, it dosent activate the Continue, it activates the Quit Game submenu, even if, basically, the Continue menu is activated. Any ideas?
My english is very bad, i will understand if don't know what i mean.

Hello! i recently installed this on my win7 32 and it worked fine, but i had to go to xp 32 recently but its on the same exact hardware. After i install with the razor installer, copy and replace the crack into the directory, i get the error message "this application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling may fix this problem." I did so 3 times, and i know it isnt razors fault this isnt working, but will someone lend me their knowledge so i can fix this?
