why do not you give yourself a chance to know it clearly and from near point disregarding the ignorant extremists of Taliban or whatever else. Just try to clear your mind and start reading about Islam, I am sure you will be surprised.
Try reading some from English translation of Quran, first you will not find this sentence about the sun, second Quran is not a book of science but I am a consultant physician and I tell you it is full of scientific data only known since 200 years or less considering that Quran is the same since 1400 years and more.
Try you will lose nothing.
