The problem with this is the server dials home to Apple and it sends your hardware serial number along with the server serial number. After a bunch of people use the same serial Apple easily knows which ones are pirated and now Apple has your hardware on a list of pirates. The next time you go to buy something at an Apple store they'll know...

trust me they don't do anything about it.. its a crock of shit! I used to work for them doing tech support. They may capture the serial # from your machine but thats about it
