I think you must upgade your custum firmware.
Some new games need new firmware. I think Patapon need a 3.71 firmware

GUYS!!!!!!!! BEFORE YOU FREAKOUT AND CALL THIS A FAKE READ MY POST!!!!!!!!!
1) You must have a 3.90 m33 psp
2) Go to the recovery menu>configuration>UMD mode set to normal -UMD Required-
3) Still in recovery go to advanced>advanced config>make sure both are enabled (plain modules and boot.bin
3) Put a UMD disc in PSP run game from memory stick and.... VIOLA no more complaining!!!!!

1) Get the latest firmware update from our friend Dark Alex. Unrar the file. Follow the inside instructions. (move the UPDATE folder to the GAME folder on PSP)
2) Shut down your PSP and start it up again by holding the front R button and the power switch at the same time, until you get the Recovery meny.
3) Follow the instructions redimus wrote above.
4) Restart and - Have fun and play!

It's alot easier to use the cfw XMB menu by pressing Select while in the XMB and switch the UMD ISO Mode to Sony NP9660 (no UMD required) ;)

Hello, I know that there is already much and clear comment and thats good but i still have some questions and if nesceceary please repeat thing in clearer ways. I downloaded it and I see 1 WinRar archive with the name Patapon. Now please thell me step by step what i need to do to get it working on my psp. Do I have to extrect it or not? under what name do I have to place it in the game folder on my psp and such things. And I do wonder is there someone who actualy played the game with this download?
