MANDAxRIJN, you have to download and install a software called Daemon Tools (Google search for it). Restart > Right click on Icon > Virtual DVD-ROM > Device 0 > Mount Image > Find ISO File

This is messed up.
Great torrent, great instructions, but I ran into a little snag.
Yeah, I installed everything, properly applying the updates n' such. Got the cracked exe files in place n such (via "long comprehensive way").
But when I run the game, I'm first greeted by a semi-choppy opening cut scene (which, I think, is normal), then the Mansion and Garden expansion or whatever screen pops up, and it just stays there.
Nothing to press.
So I have to ctrl alt delete my way outta there every time.
What's up with that?

tusk19, you have to mount with Daemon Tools. You cannot extract the ISO. Otherwise, installer will not detect files properly.
SteelGoliath, what are your system specs? Are you using XP / Vista? 32-bit or 64-bit? etc?

SteelGoliath, how long did you wait for the game to load? Since you have all of the expansion packs and stuff packs installed, it may take a while before the game first load. On some desktops and laptops, the game takes about 30 minutes to load. Afterwards, the game will load much faster the next time you run it. While at the first loading screen, you should see a green bar at the top slowly move towards 100%. If not, then something else is wrong. Make sure you close out all of your programs and temporarily disable any antivirus software. You can reenable your antivirus software after loading.

Fleare, what error message does the updater say?
The only way that it would cause this to happen is if the installation files were tampered with. After you installed Double Deluxe, did you install the crack? If you installed the crack for Double Deluxe and then tried to install University, the updater will fail because it will detect the cracked EXEs.
Also, what did you mount the ISO with? Daemon Tools?

I had a zip file and not an ISO. Was that my ISO? Now I'm having some issues getting just The Sims 2 to run. I was just going to check it to make sure each part I installed loaded up correctly and so I would know what each part added to the game.
Every time I run The Sims 2 Double Deluxe (without installing any of the other expansion packs or stuff packs) it'll load almost all the way up and say that the application has crashed and that the application will now terminate.

photocopiedheart, what operating system do you have? XP / Vista; 32-bit or 64-bit? There are no ZIP files in this torrent. The file is supposed to have the ".ISO" extension name at the end of the file name. The 15GB ISO file should be mounted with Daemon Tools. Do not extract the ISO file--only mount!
photocopiedheart, you shouldn't check each game separately because you are installing cracks for each one. When you go install the next expansion pack / stuff pack, the installer will abort with an update error because it detects the crack. You should install everything first, allowing the games to fully update The Sims 2. Then at the end, you should install the crack for Mansion & Garden and run the game to test. If you have installed everything correctly, you should be able to access all of the expansion / stuff pack features through Mansion & Garden.

zugzugge, it doesn't matter which shortcut you use. All shortcuts will open the EA launcher which will always open Mansion & Garden. You can't open the other games directly.
The other cracks are not required to install since the only game you can run is Mansion & Garden.

Everything works great! Every expansion, every stuff pack! Except one, I'm having problems with SP4 - Celebration! Stuff... When I try to run Autorun.exe it says "Insert disc one". I have no idea what's that all about. But I have to mention one thing, I DID burned everything on 4 DVD-R and installed everything from these. And everything works, except Celebration! Stuff. I'm gonna try to copy it again on USB device or something cause this is not computer where I installed the game, and there I don't have internet connection. Anyway, awesome torrent man!!!

I'm using Daemon Tools Lite. I mounted the file. And I am using Vista 32 bit. Also, could it have something to do with the fact that I previously tried to install another Sims game from a different Torrent? I thought I uninstalled that one, but maybe not.

Once you have it mounted with the latest version, try to install Double Deluxe.

araurora, it should take a while to load the game up because you have a whole bunch of expansion and stuff packs installed. (May take 30 min total on some computers). After it first loads, it will load much faster the next time you run the game.
When it freezes during in-game play, that probably means that your computer isn't powerful enough to play Sims. You might have to upgrade your graphics card to a newer ATI or NVIDIA one.

evilknight_81, you can either do the short way or the long way. It does not matter.
For the desktop shortcuts, it also does not matter which one you open. All will open Mansion & Garden and from there, you can access the other expansion packs and stuff packs in-game.
chrome32, how long did you wait for the game to load? Since you have all of the expansion packs and stuff packs installed, it may take a while before the game first load. On some desktops and laptops, the game takes about 30 minutes to load. Afterwards, the game will load much faster the next time you run it. While at the first loading screen, you should see a green bar at the top slowly move towards 100%. If not, then something else is wrong. Make sure you close out all of your programs and temporarily disable any antivirus software. You can reenable your antivirus software after loading.
If this is not working, post your system specs like your operating system (XP / Vista; 32-bit or 64-bit), CPU, GPU, RAM, etc...

Angellius, I'm not sure about the official and unofficial mods, but don't install any updates that don't match up to the crack version that you have. Make sure your crack version and the update version match up. Otherwise, you might end up with a messed up game and later problems.

sarahchu, first mount the ISO file with Daemon Tools. Then follow the directions in the Installation Procedure.html file.
DjAndy_P, yeah, you can choose which expansion pack or stuff pack to install. It is one big ISO file which contains the EA installers, so you just use the custom launcher to click and install what you want. It doesn't install everything by itself, though.

Hey, i downloaded it,(took me around 3 days) and now i install them 1 by 1.
everything's fine until Bon Voyage, it asks me for the CD4 of the sims, i then found the correct iso and tried it again and it crashes while updating. even without the iso i tried to interrupt the updating since you've posted them in the iso and when i do so its not properly installed and cause the game to crash. i don't know what to do next, if i can install the other expansions without making the game bug afterwards... oh and really thanks for the awesome Torrent, 100% trust, no viruses or crap found so far ;)

I then extracted the ISO file and used the Double Deluxe Menu (like your screenshot) to install. Can I delete the extracted files? Can someone pleeasseee help me? The download worked and I have Daemon Tools. I mounted the .iso and everything. But when I open up the 'Sime 2 Double Deluxe: Installer", instead of it looking like it should, the background is a blank cream color.
And when I right click anywhere on it, the list of everything to install shows, but nothing happens if I click on any of them. I have a Vista 64-bit operating system... I don't think that's the problem, because the expansion packs that I already own work fine on my computer.

Hey mug. I just finished putting in the cracks. It's basically you renaming the original files by adding "_backup" after the name and then copy and pasting the crack into the folder. Hi all,
I downloaded this torrent and installed it with no problems. I played around with Bodyshop and the actual game for about a day or so, but for some reason it doesn't work anymore. I've done nothing differently than I've done before.
The ISO is still mounted, however the game is now loading the pre-screen only; when I push play it does nothing else. Bodyshop fully crashes, it gives me the same error I get when Sidebar crashes. I'm running Vista 32.
I don't know what has happened or what I should do at this point, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have installed it and it does work but I was unable to install all of the expansions. I was unable to install pets, freetime and apartment life. I am curious about something. hey i would like some help or some insight on what went wrong with the torrent... i just finished the download and everything went smoothly until i tried to play the game. the sims 2 launcher comes up, then when i press play the screen turns blue (not the blue screen of death blue, the sims 2 blue) for a sec and then the computer beeps and goes right back to my desktop. the game just won't launch. can this be fixed? please let me know

I feel really dumb guys. ;-; I was easily able to download the main game, expansions, and stuff packs, but I am having major issues cracking it. I\'ve had the same problem as some other people where it says Sims2EP9, But I\'m not sure how relevant that is. Ok, so.. I need help.
Installed everything, used the crack...everything worked fine.
Now I've restarted my laptop and when i try to run it, it says that The Sims 2 Mansion and Garden stuff isnt installed at all or not installed correctly.
What to do, what to do?
Also I have to admit that before I've tried to run it, I deleted the shortcuts from my desktop.
Does that have anything to do with the failure? And if so, can I just copy the shortcuts from the folders?

Ok so I downloaded the torrent and mounted it using demon tools
I went to click on Sims double delux it comes up saying that autorun.exe has crashed this happens multiple times, I own the original sims 2 so I just downloaded that and continued onward.
University went fine Nightlife I also own so I put that on. Open for Business, Pets, and Seasons had no issue. Then Bon Voyage came up with the same autorun.exe error I decided to try another torrent for that one and it came up with the same error. The error showed up on free time and Apartment life but I had no problem with the Holiday part pack

Thanx it works like a charm. The only problem is ur instructions werent so clear to me nut i figured it out anyways. What i did was to
1. create disc drive with Power iso
2. mount s2dd (Sims2 double deluxe)
3. autorun s2dd-follow prompts
4. open a second window
copy from the crack folder to the original folder after renaming it s2ep#.bak and paste it into the Tsbin (the copied) this would be Mansion and garden stuff
5. Then open mansion and garden stuff and the game will start.

I'm so sorry if this looks stupid, but yeah... I downloaded this, mounted the image, and setup only the Double Deluxe part. It put the icon on my desktop, so I clicked on it. It read "Insert the Disk." -_- Then, I found something that worked. Going in the SP4 folder under cracks and Sims 2 Double Deluxe. The game started, I'd never been so happy. The loading thing got to full, went away, and an empty error box appeared. I hit both ok and close, but they just exit the game. Please help!!!

step-by-step to install.
1. download poweriso or deamontool (google it)
2. Deamontool will usually be down to your right where the clock is etc, if not just right-click on a .iso file and choose PowerIso, or Deamontool, and then mount image on drive [E:] i.e. Now we got the .iso file on a virtual cd/dvd-drive
3. if not the install wont automatic open go to this computer and open the i.e. TSdeluxe (E:) to start the install
4. follow the instructions and write the serial which would be found either on the disc (right click on the virtual mount and search it for serial.txt or something) or search for a EA Keygen they use to be thrusted and with every serial
5. when you're done you can either install the rest or you can start playing
6a. if you want to continue to install the other packs do the same for them as in step 1-4.
6b. if you want to start playing there should be a crack folder. Cracks are there to fool the computer and the game that you're using a game disc to play it. The crack should be either be found in the download folder in which everything else is or on the .iso just find the right one go to (C:/programs/ea games/sims 2/bin) (this use to be the default pathway for an installation if you're not isntalling on a HDD like (O:/games/Sims 2 collection/sims 2/bin) I think and drag and drop, and choose overwrite.
now it would be fine to start it, you dont need to crack every game, I had it once with every pack installed and only mansion cracked and it worked with that :P

I've tried Sims 3 (RIPPED) with my netbook and played it well thats why I dared to download Sims 2 actually. So I don't have any sys requirement problems. I just need to know if daemon/poweriso will work well with me or not.

and for people who are saying that the game freezes after video on the mansion& garden stuff logo, pls wait for a while. it doesn't freeze actually it just takes time to load the game. I know it says not responding in the task manager but be patient. I actually found out this by chance. After 3 or 5 mins it starts loading the game.

Okay, I'm seriously not finding the game launcher for the base game here.
I look in Autorun, and old autorun, there's no launcher. Then I look in just the Sims 2 folder, only thing in there is a file looking thing with a gear called autorun. I know it is just a word file because I open it, and it opens notepad with a bunch of gibberish.
I wasted 15gb of my download limit with this thing, so someone please tell me what the hell is going on!

I had this running on my netbook, so I transfered the files to my laptop when I got it. The problem I am having is when I try to install "apartment life and "garden&Mansion" I get this error:

Hey XP1. First off, thanks so smuch for this super torrent! installed it and it works great, apart from one problem.
When I'm playing, some things are really unclear. I think it has something to do with the screen resolution, but changing the resolution doesn't help and there is no resolution which matches the resolution of my actual screen.

worked great the first time i installed it, works great now too. without a doubt the simplest install I've found yet. Anyone who messed up with this torrent fails at instructions. works with custom content, works with damn near everything. and it says in the file to not fuck with the other updates unless you know what you're doing. works just fine without them. It's not saying that you need to install the disc but instead it's informing you that due to you installing Double Deluxe, you already have The Sims 3, Nightlife, and Celebration Stuff installed.
Thanks for the seeds, I downloaded it in a few hours. Vuze says that it was 3 hours and 52 minutes to be exact. This game works perfectly, other than the graphics but I'm using an NVIDIA GeForce 6150 LE on-board video card so that's to be expected.
My suggestion to everyone who has yet to download it. FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS EXACTLY! Other than Nightlife and Celebration Stuff which installs with Double Deluxe.

If you get the error where one of the installers will revert its own progress, saying it "did not finish successfully", after trying to "ensure that your existing installation is up to date", that is because it has found a file or registry entry in a different state than it expected. It probably is because of a previous installation and/or other remaining bits an pieces that were never properly uninstalled. Don't modify any of the files until all installations are complete.
On a "modern" windows system the uninstallers might not work at all. Here is a complete list of all files and registry entries you have to remove:
