I extracted it, started setup and it stucked on 10%. I tried again and it's still stucked on 10%. I've been waiting like 30 minutes. Do I need steam to play the game? Help me plz

if you have any sound problems just enable console, press ~ (usually above the tab key) to open it, then type in snd_rebuildaudiocache. wait for it to load completely then press ctrl+alt+delete to open task manager and end the process called left4dead.exe. hope this helps. :)
