The "rules" are simple: Rip your CD (no 1980's cassettetapes or vinylrips please!) in lossless format AND include artwork. Include cue- and logfiles for the purists and the TQMP searchtag in your title, so it can easily be found. (Yes, on Google as well..)
Say »thank you« by seeding... just seed, it is not harmful to your health:-)

what's FLAC with 1024kb/s?zootallure (2009-04-08)
Bitrate doesn't really apply to FLAC the way it does to lossy codecs. Because in the process of writing sound information the encoder will use whatever bitrate value is necessary to store all the sound data (no loss). From silence (0) to absolute noise (1024). Average bitrate 600-700 is what's needed to store most music out there in lossless. The bitrate setting on EAC doesn't have any effect on FLAC. It is there to be used with lame and other lossy encoders. Now, whatever value is there for FLAC will show on the log and maybe that's what's confusing.
So, it is just the setting of EAC program...
