What format is mkv? I can see the video, but there is NO audio!!!

I dont know mkv very well, i have seen it befor, it is becoming very popluar for that fact you can have more then one audio/subtitle trakes in one file. to play them, some codecs can play them. you can all so use a program called "All to Avi" you can select the audio track, the subtitle trake and it converts it to avi. but converting mkv is very slow.

i recommend the VLC player since its play almost everything. maybe except textfiles and toasted bread...
and *no* it doesnt play "real (shit) media"

Try GOM Player I had found it useful in playing the multiple mkv files I found it after VLC's failure to play some video files. Google "GOM Player" and download it!!!

i paid 45 bucks for this on VHS back in 1997, when I was in the military. somebody borrowed it, and never gave it back. i forgot all bout it until just now.
