Description:

My latest demo, here for you all absolutely free (the way music should be!). Recorded and mixed over the course of about two weeks and released on Samhain 2008 to the metal masses. Before you listen (or begin downloading if you're reading this as a torrent description or something), the tracks are all mixed a bit more quiet than usual. This is my way of telling those participating in the "loudness war" to fuck right off. If you like your music mixed at extremely high volumes and constantly clipping, this isn't for you. Too quiet? Turn it up! The volume level on this is about the equivalent of an 80's metal LP. If an entire decade of metalheads can work their way around it, you can too! Now to discuss the tracks themselves: Warcry - New intro. No biggie. We'll use this to open shows on the upcoming Noble Phantasm tour. Mordred - Reworking of a much older song. This is mostly the same except with some added orchestral bits backing the lead guitar and getting their own little solos at one point. Arturia - New song numero uno. This one will show up again on Caladbolg as the opener and will certainly be a live staple. Combining thrash, power and black metal all into one destructive two minute burst of metal! Noble Phantasm - New song numero... two. Lyrically, this will end up being Arturia part II, but you'll have to wait until Caladbolg for vocals. I didn't wanna spoil the surprise on this demo, so I left it instrumental. You'll just have to wait and see! But anyways, this is our straight power metal track of the demo. Sounds a bit like Versailles, eh? You're Not Alone (Final Fantasy IX) - Ah, me and my Final Fantasy covers. This one shows off the awesome power of Kontakt 2 and my way overused lead tone. Sadly, I think this is the longest track on here. Gah, I need to compose longer tunes. And there you go! If you like what you hear (or don't like), write up a review on Metal-Archives! I'd like to hear what everyone thinks. Metal-Archives a no-go? Check out the MySpace address below. Finally, for those hardcore metal collectors who require physical copies, I can provide. It's totally free! Just send an email to [email protected] /* */ with your address and stating you want a copy of the demo (obviously) and I'll get you one as soon as possible! I also have merch available for those who care. It's on the website and MySpace. Enjoy fellow metal maniacs! -Agravain http://www.camlannband.net
