Metallica - Death Magnetic (digital GH3 rip)

This is another rip of the new Metallica album Death Magnetic from Guitar Hero III. Rip method: recorded digitally through optical S/PDIF (Xbox 360) Format: FLAC (lossless) Sample rate: 48 kHz Bit depth: 16 bit This should be of equal quality as Covak's rip. I just wanted to do my own rip as I had already planned it before any other GH3 rip existed. Have fun!

Would you mind telling me how you did it? Program, tools etc...etc... I would really want to rip some songs from GH3 and Rock Band myself if I only knew how.

Connect the digital output of the Xbox 360 with the digital input of your computer. Then use a program like Audacity (free) or Audition (commercial) to record the output. Alternatively you can record the analogue signal but that will reduce the quality, especially if you don't have a high quality sound card.
