On Wikipedia it's written that this DLC was removed as soon, as it has officially appeared because it had some critical bug in it. I STRONGLY suggest you to wait for the final version. AND stop uploding current "Pitt" because then it will be a mess - no one will understand where is a buggy "Pitt", and where is final. Fixed one should appear in a few days.

The English version of The Pitt is now available for download on Xbox Live. If you downloaded the (corrupted) file that was originally available, you will need to delete it before downloading the new version. when you download this put all files in your fallout 3 installation directory and then start up the fallout 3 launcher and click on data files and check the pitt and press ok then just strt the game. {{also make sure your game is updated to latest version }}

When I check it in data files, and click ok, it still takes me to the sAme fallout 3 menu. Any suggestions?

After i installed this it crashes every time i try to go anywhere near the quest, play more then 10 minutes, pull out my weapon, try using vats, sneaking, aiming, fast traveling or breathing and sometimes it doesn't even need that.
Oh and before anyone sais it's from some other mod i'm using: I disabled every mod only left The Pitt and Fallout 3 on, even disabled Anchorage.
I suggest anyone to avoid this until there is a fix for it.

Didn't find an edit button for my comment so i had to double post.
It seems that after a reinstall everything worked fine but after i updated to version 1.4 the crashed retured (Without The Pitt DLC). I'm using the UK version so i suggest to avoid the patch instead but i don't think the DLC will work without the patch.

this does not work - it crashes as soon as you get near the mission. the latest nvidia drivers do not fix this. this is a bad torrent. do not waste your time - wait for a good one.

The file works fine not crashes.
The only problem is the auto axe who is missing sometimes.
The ppls who are complaining about crashes is probably just fail.

@ baab32: That happens when you install the wrong patch. If you installed the UK one then install the US one instead and see if that fixes it.
I'm not sure why some people experience crashes and some don't. I'm going to try Fallout 3 on my other more crappy computers (All of them have different windowses, so it might make a difference).

Worked fine for me, RELOADED ver, patched to 1.4
Didn't crash a single time during the (pretty short) pitt even as I have craploads of mods on too. The AutoAxe disappears sometimes from your hand, but unequip it and re-equip it and it should show again. WORKS GREAT L2LIFE

Installed everything on my PC with Vista and now it works. Maybe the new patch doesn't like Windows 7.

I think i found a solution or it at least worked for my Windows 7 computer. I set everything on low and raised every setting one by one back to high since it worked when everything was on low. And it seems that Water Multisampling couses it to crash. Setting it on low fixed it for me. Been playing for 2 hours without any crashes now. Hope it helps.

I checked the pitt from data files menu but still it only runs as an original fallout 3. Tried to uncheck and check again but nothing works. Allso I tried to uninstall and reinstalling but no...

I have the same problem as Purpello. Whenever I go to my data files menu and check the box, it never stays checked and I end up playing the normal game. It also does this for my anchorage files, but that's not relevant here. lol.

For those of you saying you can't load the data files, there MIGHT be a fix. I modded my game a lot, and i had a problem with the data files not staying ticked. Go to FalloutNexus and search for something called the "Fallout Mod Manager".
You then run that program (as administrator) and tick the data files.

To the person who got a letter from your ISP, so far at least in America and most other parts of the world a stern letter from your isp is the only thing you'll get. Nobody but the RIAA is suing individual file sharers and there are no disconnect policies in place like France just had knocked down. So download away! Viva la resistance.
I'm sure most people here are aware that Big Content is fighting hard to keep their draconian system that has slowly stripped the rights of man in place, but we are beset from every side. Keep an eye on your ISP's, for they are now trying to charge the places you visit for "their bandwidth" usage. They say that google.com, youtube.com, etc. are using "their" pipes for free.
Are they talking about those very same copper wires they are already charging you for? Yes. Should google and youtube (and BBC, and AP new wire, and anyone who makes any money) pay for their bandwidth usage? Of course they should. They ALREADY do, they just don't pay YOUR isp too. Why should they? The ISP's don't just want to provide the dumb copper wires, they want to own the content, well too bad, cables days are numbered and they'll have to adapt.
So everyone, stay informed, write letters/e-mails to your local gov. representatives and let them know what you think about this subject. The battle for tomorrow's internet is happening today.
