This is a vital and key element of the English version of this film, where the whole concept of Dracula is explained through the Romanian spoken dialog. I saw it opening day in the theater in 1992 and recently purchased this Collector’s Edition, two DVD set which was released in 2007. Gary Oldman as Vlad Dracula is absolutely phenomenal! One of the best performances in film! The rest of the cast is wickedly talented and outstanding as well; Hopkins, Ryder, Reeves and Sadie Frost. For Frost’s first major film role she really made her presence known. And from the behind the scenes rare footage I have included in this release you can see what a deliberate and creative craft making a film like this was.
