Description:

ArtyTorrent Pack 88-BFA-Hardcore Breakbeat Action 1-WAV ------------------------------------------------------- Hardcore Breakbeat Action is an awesome 4-disc pack from Big Fish Audio. http://www.bigfishaudio.com/4dcgi/detail.html?300 Loops and oneshots are arranged in the construction kit format allowing easy arrangement of songs. Around 250MB of each of the 2 CD-ROMs is taken up with demonstrations of (admittedly fantastic) songs made using the construction kits, but since these long demos are of no use to a music producer seeking to expand his library of usable samples, I've not included them in this pack. This torrent is based on WAV CD 1. I've left the directory structure more or less untouched, apart from moving the oneshots into categorized folders after trimming them appropriately. Torrent contains 3 RAR files with 515 samples --------------------------------------------- HBA1 Bonus Drumloops (26) HBA1 Cons Kit Loops (283 loops in 32 kits) HBA1 Oneshots (206 drum and perc hits, basses and synths) Files have beeen renamed to prevent confusion (how many samples called bass1.wav have you got already?) and many have also been converted to mono where right and left channels were identical. Each construction kit folder includes tempo and root key information, and all files are acidized. Samples are normalized 16-bit WAVs at 44.1KHz. Disc 2 will follow once I've restructured it in similar fashion. -- Arty - "I need a break" 26th February 2008.

I thought I'd stumbled across a good torrent of funky-assed-breaky-samples...
...but upon further searching for Arty Torrents, discovered torrential quantities of excellent-quality well-presented samples of the highest order.
Nice one Arty
...now, if only my skillz at arranging them into laudible (sic) tunez were adequate...

Dont want this to be takin the wrong way Arty. You are clearly very generous and helpful. While also having shared more to this site than me as I am new (to this site).
But why would u Normalize all these samples?? It kills the dynamic's and sound quality of a sound.
Also I believe some of these packs are 24bit so why would u downsample them to 16bit also hurting there quality.
And last converting to mono. Just because left and right channels may have looked identical (maybe they were "exactly the same" which I dont believe is possible because they would have major phase issues) you are taking away from the stereo width of a sound which can give it great depth.
It just seems like you are putting in a lot of work that isn't really doing any good to the quality of the samples and in fact ruining it.
Once again I'm not talking sh%t just think u should reconsider this and put the packs up as is which would be more appealing and let people do what they think is best. But also for your own productions as I think you'd be more happy with the results of throwing a compressor on a sound to raise the volume in a mix then to normalize everything.
Sorry if takin the wrong way...
