.MKV is not for super nerds.
It is a great container. anyone who has had to deal with different audio tracks like different languages or commentaries, or subtitles, will love MKV.
ever watch a movie and its in russian or some damn thing. odds are its an MKV, and you can easily change the language. just use a real player. VLC. always always VLC.
ever watch anime with someone who hates subtitles, even though you always watch it in Japanese with english subtitles? just turn off the subtitles, and switch the language to english.
thats the power of MKV.
youre watching your favourite movie and missing the directors commentary? want to hear the actors and production crew talk about their experience making the film? just switch the audio track. THATS MKV.
SO STOP WHINING.
no one cares about your PS3, or your xbox, or your ipod. these things can be converted. and its EASY to convert from MKV to ANYTHING ELSE, or to add or subtract language tracks, or 5.1 surround to 2.1 stereo. but to go from avi to MKV is impossible.
so suck it up. everytime someone with a brain sees you whining about MKV they roll their eyes and stop reading.
