Okay I'm probably doing something really dumb, but whenever I try to mount the files onto MagicISO it says

I think I can install this game , I've readed about Black & White 2 a little in my The Sims 2 "Books" ( They tells a little about "new" games . ) .

Alright Ewwo, you must be new to this.Here's how it goes.
1)download daemon tools lite (it's what I use)
2)when finished run it and look for the saved black and white files.
3)Browse with daemon tools and find the files.
4)Double-click on cd 1and it should mount or create a virtual drive.
5)Enter CD keys listed above.
6)Hit install and when it says needs disk 2 mount disk 2 and so on.
7)When it is installed download both no-cd cracks that are linked.
8)Delete the core files that look like the cracks and replace with the cracks.To do this go to the program files on your computer. Which will be in Local disk C: or E:

Just one question, I just started the download and the files I'm downloading are BW2_DISC1, BW2_DISC3 and two times BW2_DISC4. So no DISC2. And one of the disc4 is just 1k big. Is this a problem or is it just working fine this way?

Never mind my last post ;) was looking in the downloadmap, not in utorrent to see which items I was downloading.
So I've installed both game + exp. but now I'm having the problem that the game gets stuck after I choose on what side I'm on. Tried all 3 of them, but everytime it just goes black and my laptop just crashes. I'm downloading the patches atm, so I'll let you know if it works after I installed them!

I've tried to install the patches, but, while trying to install patch 1.1, it says the game is damaged. So I deinstalled the game and the expansion pack and installed just the game. Played it, but again after a while it crashes. So I tried to install the patch again, now the expansionpack is not installed, and still it says the game is damaged and that I have to reinstall it.
So I've one question, could it be a problem that I'm running under Vista and not XP?

I finally got the game working! Though it is without the expansion pack.
I'm not using the nocd crack. I mount the first disc and then play the game. Though I had to install the patches, but they worke fine if you don't use the crack! So I've got my solution, hope for all others it'll work too!

Fixed my problem by removing the crack and using the original white.exe
and I used the installation file 'BW2_DISC1.mdf' (mounting it) to start the game with no problems

I finished the torrent, mounted each CD one-by-one (as the installation asked) using Daemon Tools Lite, and everything seemed to be going well until the very end, when I got this error:
"Black & White® 2 has failed to install.

Hello, i'm having problems running the game. I've just finished installing the four cds and i'm using Magic ISO to create a virtual CD to mount the image and bring up the loader, but when i press play the loader freezes with the message:

the regular game works great so far, except for the tool tips when I mouse over buildings and my towncenter... the bubble doesnt show up so its super hard to read.
and the crack doesnt work for the expansion... I copy it to the right folder and all but usually I get the do you want to replace this file message when I do cracks but the expansion crack just copies and then I get a "this window needs to shut down" message everytime I try to open the game with the crack.

Guys. When using Daemon tools, notice in the folder there is black&white2disk1. there are four things like this, 1,2,3, and four. when it says insert second disk, UNMOUNT disc one, and MOUNT disc 2. after that, unmount disk 2, and mount disk 3, etc. then it should work.

ok guys i sort of figured out how to fix the aging problem with the no CD crack. if you dont mind having no kids, ( saves tribute and space). you have to open the games file location, go to data, click on balance, click game balance villagers, and it will open in notepad ( if not. open in notepad). scroll down to villager age and you will see greek. ( that is you) you can change the starting age to 18 so when your people have kids they are automatically men or woman at age 18. you must start a new profile and new land for this to work ( i believe). and questions how to figure it out if you didnt understand just email me at deathsnyper@aol.com thanks. I just created a acc here just to reply here,
it was a whole fuzz reading all comments and installing it correctly..
but i can confirm that this game works (almost) perfectly
first i had problems installing it (like alot of ppl i have read did) but that problem was solved as soon as i understood how the disk changing thing worked
soo it was done
next problem i had was that the crack did not work so i downloaded the crack supplied in Dark_downloader his guideline
it finally started up and i began playing
then i found out my children were not aging so i got into trouble with that.. so in one of these comments u will find the correct link to the correct crack and now my kids are growing as they should..
but however.. i read about the night lights not working correctly..
i personally have no problems up to where i am atm (somewhere with the china or japan ppl)
but i do have the problem my troops are having ALOT of trouble with moving arround the lands.. sometimes they do not move at all even though i give them different commands (i found out that when u command them to defend something close to where u need them to be u will have the most chance of them moving as they should) and moving them up a wall mostly works but afther they are up they will not move to where i want them instead they move back to where they were -.-)
but besides all this little problems it is a very good torrent even though i am STILL trying to understand the game since it is fairly different than the 1st B&W wich i also have dled xD

If it is tracked, the worst you'll get is a letter from your ISP telling to you stop. I haven't talked to anyone who has gotten anything worse than that, hell I've been doing this for 2 years and I have yet to receive anything from my ISP or a corporation.
As for the ads, that's usual on TBP one pops up every so often, use a pop-up blocker. As for any viruses... watch what you download, this game has no viruses in it so you won't get any from this.

FINALLY got the game up and running. So I can say that it does run for Windows 7 (x64) beautifully. But don't use the crack provided, doesn't work. I used this one,
Downloaded it to my desktop, then transferred it to the game bin. Programs > Lionhead Studios > Black and White 2. It won't replace the original, but it doesn't have to. Just has to be in the folder, run the crack as administrator and VIOLA! You're a God. ^_^ P.S. Awesome game so far.

And as a side note: I used Daemon tools lite to mount the cds after unzipping. For those ever looking for a keygen/serial # not provided with the download, just youtube the game name and keygen. It's worked for me at least.

Installed smoothly with magiciso. Solved no cd problem by downloading cracks separately.
When I try to apply the updates though it says that my installation is corrupt. I wouln't mind playing without the udpdates but I am having the issue with the black squares on the torch lights at night.
One comment said that you didn't need a crack if you installed the updates and several comments said that the updates solve the black square problem.
I went for cracks before updates so I think this is why the updates won't work.
Opinions?

ok any one haveing the "please insert disc" problem? well if you are read this!
mount the iso with demon tools and then open my computer and click on it (the first tie installs) tehn after its installed be shure to launch it from the mounted ISO rather from the shortcut and a littel screen with options on it should come up all you need to do then is click "play" and this is a great torrent 9.5/10 from me :D the only eason it dosent get a 10 is because itcan be confuseing when you clikc the shortcut and is comes up with the error i said but still GREAT torrent :)

For all those who get "insert cd problem" -read the description! You have a link to a crack for the original game there. As for the expansion, it doesn't need one, you can launch it from the directory it creates inside the game
