How come the otherwise superior Web-DLs have 2.0 audio when the regular ones have 5.1?

i think because web dl is itunes and an ipad doesn't have 5.1

but still the quality of the web dl is way better than hdtv immerse, i mean hdtv from dimension is awesome but immerse is crap, and since the walking dead is immerse i'm getting it replaced by the web-dl and the 2.0 audio doesnt bother since i don't use a surround system
