It became Bela Fleck’s most popular recording and, 17 years later, probably still holds that position. To say that Drive crossed boundaries would be tame — it galloped over them, its «newgrass» bluegrass style appealing to those who normally don’t care for the genre. Most of the titles are upbeat, finger-picking ear feasts that make good, er, driving music. But a few tracks, such as «The Lights of Home,» slow down a bit and allow the band to produce a sound resplendent with nostalgic, heartfelt twang. Drive’s sound has always been highly regarded, but this SACD is as close to perfection as we’re liable to get without actually being there. All the picked instruments can be heard with vivid realism, and the fiddles have uncanny presence. The bass is solid and focused without ever being too prominent. Thank you very much. This has to be one of the world's finest banjo player, yet he still fools many fans with some of his work sounding exactly as if it has been done on an electric guitar. This is a fine rare gem for sure!

It is very rare to find bluegrass recordings on a torrent site. But to find one that is a perfect WAVE RIP CLONE is awesome. I hope this stays seeded.

This is likely the best quality bluegrass-banjo genre album for download on any torrent sites. I happen to be a banjo player myself, and when I listen to this download without headphones on it seems ole Bela Fleck himself (yeah him lol- many thing Bela is a she-lol) is standing right in front of me playing. This is one album I was careful to rip in Apple Loseless, perhaps even to wave again, because this wave rip is flawless.
