Kronprinz Rudofs Letzte Liebe(1956)

Kronprinz Rudolfs Letzte liebe tells the story of Crown Prince Rudolf of Austria-Hungary and his last mistress Mary Vetsera. The movie starts with the funeral of Crown Prince Rudolf and then moves on to Heiligenkreuz, the graveyard where Mary Vetsera is buried, there we see the grieving mother who is confronted by a visit of the Empress. Mary's mother tells about Mary's burial and how she was found. Then we go in flashback to octber of 1888. Back to the night when Rudolf and Mary first met... This movie also shows a good portrayal of Rudolf, who is a depressed and sad man. He finds courage and the will to live in his love for Mary. Yet it is not meant to be.
