I'm currently leeching/seeding the torrent with a 100/100 seedbox. Currently downloading around 700k/sec and uploading at almost 8mb/sec. I will continue to leave my upload uncapped for the next 20-30 minutes to see if others will be nice enough to return the favor so that I can download as fast as I am uploading to all of you. Look real to me, I installed the beta and comparing to where TBC retail floats around 9gig the WoTLK beta floated around 15gig... so yea its a huge upgrade...

Check back in an hour. I let the blizzard patcher take me from 3.0.1 to 3.0.3 and I'm wondering if it caused the issue there. Doing a clean install and going to give it a 2nd attempt.. id keep DLing and check back in an hour.

I just did a fresh install. I would highly suggest that you DO NOT let the blizzard down loader patch you form 3.0.1 to 3.0.3 use the files you have in your wow updates folder to do the patching..

That link I pasted earlier InstallWoW.exe was the authentica wow downloader, but it has since been disabled and is now useless, along with the 1.9gb torrent that is available for download (TBC->WOTLK) so don't bother with that.
THIS torrent is the ONLY one that will work. I have installed this already on my machine and it is 100% working, and you can still play TBC with it without upgrading your account to WOTLK.
I left this overnight seeding and it uploaded 600GB, so to all the hit and runners, here's a big 'FUCK YOU!'

Yeah I felt like emoing out when I tried to use your link then found out they disabled it eventually. Seems my speeds on this torrent are fluttering around 4-20kb/s with upload uncapped. Wex28, to answer your question about the size, that 1.9GB patch that Blizzard had you download only covered the weapon/armor/item models and textures so that people who didn't buy the expansion wouldn't see errors when people wandered around in Org / SW with new gear. The full expansion, which includes all of the gear, terrain, mobs, spells, classes, etc is 7.7GB.
Still, you have to buy the expansion to do anything with it, considering that no private servers would have it on theirs :P
I'd say just go ahead and buy it now and install from there.

I bought the game, I've been playing it on the Blizzard servers.. I'm don't see any reason why only myself and not even 200 people in the US are the only ones seeding. I can't keep this up forever. Help me out please. This is a huge download that takes a few days, especially if there is nobody seeding. Hit and runs are not cool in any sense. You're probably going to be online quite a bit after getting this, keep your torrent client open, it won't affect your game. Not enough to matter.

You do need an account to play this on-line. There are also private servers that you can play for donations like funserver.cc or war-crafters.no-ip.org or just do a search for WoW private server and look for the version you want. Most of them have the game client available for download in their forums. You have to set up an account with them as well and modify your realm list to log into their server.

When I try to install this, it tells me to insert the first installation CD. I've tried mounting the Installer_Tome.mpq and the disc.ico with daemon tools, but neither of them worked. Any help would be appreciated.

Okay I'd like to just point out that you can download the whole game (including both expansions) for free from the blizzard site, just start a trial account and you can download the "trial game" which is actually the full game.
Trust me, its much faster than the seeders here, and its a dedicated upload, so download from the official website - thats what I did because I couldn't be fucked buying this expansion when all I do is play private servers.
However, any torrents for World of Warcraft - Will NOT Work!
You need the official CD-Key to create an account - so if you want to play the official game on the official servers, you have to pay for it peoples.
Other than that, this will work if you want to just play private realms, just look up a private realm guide to get you started on how to play private realms for free.
On private realms you can also pick servers that are "Fun servers" "Blizz-Like" and "Custom".
Which are all heaps fun, and a lot more fun than WoW's boring grind in my opinion.
:: To sum up! ::
Download the whole game from the Warcraft Website for free as a faster alternative than torrents.
Play private servers for free, rather than buying the whole game and paying monthly.

I was able to figure out the installation process.

Now read this and you can play WoW for free on the best private server in Europe.
Ok this is all you need to do:
1. Download the game (make sure it's EU, you can even download it from blizzard).
2. Update the game but not over the patch 3.3.5a.
3. Go to game directory. Open Data -> enGB -> realmlist (notepad).
4. Replace "set realmlist eu.logon.worldofwarcraft.com" with "set realmlist wow.freakz.ro".
