In the sorrow of exile, a group of Argentinians in Paris seek solace and connection to their culture by staging a set of tangos. The film alternates between their vibrant rehearsals and their circumscribed lives in low-rent apartments, underemployed, fitfully communicating with families back home, trying to make do with what they hope are only temporary arrangements in a foreign land. YOU are the best person in the WHOLE OF THIS WORLD.... I have been after this film for years, well, ever since I saw it in Paris at the première... 1985.... it's a hell of a long time to wait for this... I've seen a bit of it... it is not the greatest of qualities but it is THE FILM.... thanks soooooooooooooo much....

There are two other films in the Tango TRILOGY: Sur and El Viaje. I am desperate for "EL VIAJE".... have not been able to find this anywhere....
