This works fine. There is no real installation. It's more of a rip. You just choose where to extract all the files ... and then just run the .exe to play the game. Create a shortcut to make things easier.

For those having the problem "This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem", I found the fix!
After NBA 2K9 installs, you must install all what you have in the installers directory (C:\Program Files\NBA 2K9\installers), and they are:
DirectX- find the DXSetup program
dotnetfx.exe
vcredist_x86.exe
The game loaded FINE after I installed these 3 things.

to those who have blackscreens, the answer is simple, your video card does NOT support "Shader Model 3.0", your solution is either buy an awesome video card that supports shader model 3.0 or hack into the program to force it to read shader model 2.0

Awesome graphics, better comentary than nba live 09, more features. Gameplay is better than on nba live 09 on xbox. But, could someone find out how to fix the control problems? Also I couldnt get the xbox 360 controller to work, though it shows up in the game its just I can't use it during the game. Weird but so far playing on a keyboard is painful lol. cheers.

Hey guys,i have a small problem that makes association mode unplayable...I cant train my players cause the view is blocked by a gigantic "wall" in front of me...the only areas that i can see are in front of the baskets and so i only can train post offence/defence etc and not passing/dribbling and stuff that your player starts in middle court cause i cant see a damn thing so i cant make a correct pass or see the correct path for a dribble course...there is no option to change the view/camera and i have tried various settings for graphics but nothing seems to fix that..Is it a known bug??Is it a fault of the crack??Can someone give any advice? Here's how to find roster file:
Go to start menu, then to run and type this in the box %appdata% and press ok and then go to the NBA 2K folder where you will see a saves folder.This is the folder where you need to put your roster file.Hope this is easy enough and your welcome.

Don't be confused with the name of the url. The roster update patch that you will find there is for nba 2k9 and not for nba live. Aside from updating your roster, it also contains fixes for numerous bugs in the game.

Worked with no problems, just loaded it up with Alcohol 120% and it installed, no CD required. Also, to uninstall you just have to delete the folder - it doesn't show up in my Add/Remove Programs because it never touches your registry.
Word to the wise, however: don't bother trying to play this without a gamepad or a console controller adapter, it's not fun at all with a keyboard.

With 5 gigs of ram total, Raedon 4350 HD video card, and 64 bit dual core x 2 processors the menu are still slow.... But game is beautiful, any program will work alchohol 120, daemon, or iso. Remember the PS3 and Xbox 360 are crammed with tons CPU power and memory, So a home PC will need to be $$$ to keep up. But as for me A O K :) If you have black screen or controller problems then upgrade your anti malware and virus protection DUH!!

the game is excellent. it would be better though if u have a controller. keyboard works fine.
to install the game:
1. download torrent
2. extract (after extraction, there should be one big .iso file)
3. mount .iso file with daemon tools
4. go to my computer (usually F:)

btw..i did this steps...
1. extract the .rar files from 1 to 61
2. there is .iso file...
3. mount the nba_2k9.iso
4. the problem is, there is 3 rar file, 1 .exe file, 1 icon..what should i do with the .rar files?

plzz..HELP ME!!***...ive donwloaded it and installed it but when i launch it ...its wierd..some logos and pictures are missing...the most crazy thing is that i cant configure control set up because i cant see the texts of the buttons all i can see is whhite grayish structures...PLEASE HELP ME!!
