Description:
Rolling Stone (2/23/95, pp.71-72) - 3.5 Stars - Very Good - "...most of what slithers out of the Snakepit emphasizes the playing....[Slash] lavishes his creative energy on the rhythm riffs and instrumental arrangements, working and reworking them until each line seems to snake out and coil back..."

Deep work
This album offers a surprisingly wide range of rock songs: from straight forward hard rock performance like "be the Ball" to slow and moody stuff like "Neither can I", the thrilling "Lower" or "Back and forth again"; a lot of tracks would also do great for any drinking party ("doin' fine" or "I hate everybody but you") while other songs have this bluesy feeling on 'em (" Beggars..." to name one.) The only flaw is that the cd appears to be slightly uneven on the whole, with the predictable "take it away" or the useless instrumental tune "Jizz da pit." To conclude I would confess I really like this one and advise it to any bloke who like good music.

Snakepit Rocks!
Ok this album is very good, i would say all songs r well performed and i think the best thing is, s that gn'r members Gilby Clarke, and Matt Sorum play on this cd and one song is written w/ Duff McKagan so it still kinda has that GN'R sound
