Description:

http://img15.imageshack.us/i/typingfor.jpg/ This is a pc-game which I made myself, using the game-engine HGE for c++. You can think of the game like a "Typing of the dead"-clone. Soldiers are appearing and they are going to try to kill you, unless you type them to their death! The faster and longer strings you type, the more points you earn and the longer you will be able to stay alive. It was made for a high-school (in Sweden high-school is virtually the same as University) course in game-development. The game has been approved by the course responsible, but I've a personal goal of improving it when I find the time for it. Optimizing some code and above all improving some of design concepts of the code. This is nothing that really affects performance and will not even be noticeable to the end-user. Some issues & coming features: After having edited phrases, you need to restart the game (which goes really fast). This is mostly due to a design mistake made by yours truly in an early stage. A mistake which I'd like to correct when I've got time and then I will do a major redesign of the class-handling, instead of just submitting a fix right now. You can edit and create new phrases with a length of one character, however this will crash the game. In a future release I will make it impossible to make shorter phrases than say 8 characters. Short phrases will get you higher scores since you can type them faster. To some annoyance, if more than one word begins with the same character, the word being "chosen" is the one kept at the later "spot" in the vector. This might at some occasions confuse the player (as it have done to myself on numerous occasions). I would also like to add another difficulty level, since the only one which is now available is rather intense and most players will be killed within a minute. Feel free to speak you mind what your thoughts on the game is. It is more or less why I'm submitting it here - to get opinions, ideas and thoughts of what to improve. Thank you and game on!
