@babybluetits24 But I like Genetically Modified crops! They require less pesticides by being more disease resistant, can grow more closely in the fields, and produce more per plant! Lower prices, less pollution, and less risk of cancer (pesticides are EVIL stuff)! What's not to like about GM crops?

GMO's Cause cancer.... Disease the world has never seen before, and deformities in children.... Genetic engineering reduces genetic diversity. When genes are more diverse, they are more robust; this is why a pure bred dog tends to have greater health problems than the dear old mutt. Plants with reduced genetic diversity cannot handle drought, fungus invasions or insects nearly as well as natural plants, which could have dire consequences for farmers and communities dependent on GMO crops for survival. and GMOs require massive amounts of pesticides, herbicides and fungicides. Your wrong the information you've been feed along side your gmo's is controlled media... Please stop. Calcifying your penial gland makes it harder for the lord to communicate with you...

@Slytheren Not all GM is bad. The anti-GM movement brimming with misinformation and hyperbole.
Here is an example of Greenpeace in Australia going off the rails and destroying a small experimental GM wheat crop run by the respectable CSIRO. This is an example of fear mongering that helps no one.

Genetic diversity is crucial and the contamination of GM crops into the natural food change is a huge concern.
But GM crops could feed the third world. They could make food production more efficient and make the food itself more nutritious.
The best anyone can do is challenge their own beliefs and be informed from a diverse range of sources.
