Star Trek Starfleet Command III + NOCD

Category:

Games/PC

Uploaded:

Description:

I downloaded another starfleet command 3 on a .exe file from thepiratebay but didn't work. This one needs no patchs to work with directx 9, just burn/mount, install and play. Enjoy ^^ Note: This one contains the borg campaign as well.

I have power iso but, need a little more instructions, other than burn/mount, install play. I haven't done this before. (sorry I'm a noobee). please help

cabralski (2008-11-30)

I burned it to cd but what do i do next, help me out please

cabralski (2008-11-30)

do you check the comments on your torrents, I love this game and just want to play, some help please

2poor2party (2008-12-01)

cabralski, have you tried mounting it with daemon tools?
otherwise you have to burn it to a cd, with power iso i presume. I'm not sure exactly what power iso is.

cabralski (2008-12-01)

I did burn it to a cd, but wasn't able to install it. I don't have daemon tools, it sounds easier than what i did. so i'll try that. So how do u use deamon tools. thanx for the responce.

plasmafox2038 (2008-12-03)

No!
Stop telling noobs to install daemontools dammit, they aren't going to know which version
Virtual CloneDrive is also free, works just as well, and unlike DT, works on Vista, is not bundled with malware and has Blu-Ray support.

daniwan (2008-12-05)

Maybe it's just me, but every time I start to actually do any mission it fails on some exception error... I have installed exactly as the read me says. Cant get past any movie scenes. Anyone else having this problem?

Ive got the same issue as daniwan.. Any help is welcome!!

gravesite (2008-12-08)

Sound like sound driver problems, ill down it & see whats up. For now try disabling EAX sound setting or update your system sound drivers. Download a new d3d8.dll file. plenty of sites to download DLL's free with instructions

gravesite (2008-12-08)

Its Microsoft Direct3D file.
http://www.dlldump.com/download-dll-files_new.php/dllfiles/D/d3d8.dll/5.03.2600.2180/download.html
----Another site-
http://www.driverskit.com/dll/d3d8.dll/487.html..I'm
still downloading game, but had had simular problem in other games.

gravesite (2008-12-08)

Well, no problems on XP HOME w/SP3..used winRAR 3.71 & extracted to a temp folder. Ran setup & installed.using the notes info & nocd patch supplied...

chibai21 (2009-01-07)

so has anyone been able to download and play? I am having major problems...getting a demoshield runtime error...any ideas?

chibai21 (2009-01-08)

i keep getting this msg...demoshield runtime player has encountered a problem and needs to close...i heard that there is an issue with quicktime and directx or something...game installs but this chit pops up when it starts to run...plz help...plz

Talyn_Malasombra (2009-02-04)

Ok, I downloaded this with no trouble, burned it straight to disc via Nero, no trouble.
I also got the demo shield problem but got round it by simply 'exploring' the disc and running set-up straight from there.
I am now getting the d3d8 problem. No success fixing it yet but I'll keep you posted.

dmax45 (2009-02-06)

I have founded the solution for the d3d8.dll just set the compatibility mode to windows 98me and thats it

Ardon9978 (2009-03-12)

Every time I click the install button it loads up the backround picture for the install screen and then crashes. Am I missing something? I am a noob so sorry :)

Ardon9978 (2009-03-12)

I take it back. I extracted it with winRAR 3.71 and it is installing now. :) SO excited.

gamer101nut (2009-03-28)

how do i get the download to work.

Axeman1919 (2009-04-26)

Noticed this post over at a different torrent site and thought I'd share because I think this is the problem that most people are having.
""no the problem people are getting if they have directX 9 or higher is the fact that the game doesn't take into account that there would be a directX higher then 8.1
just search for the "DirectX 9 Starfleet Command 3 fix" it's only about a megabyte or two and it solves the problem""

Gurgle23 (2009-05-18)

So many files to click on, nothing happening. Wich of the 20 different "Setup" and "autorun" actualy does something?

Gurgle23 (2009-05-18)

Nothing happens when it tryes to open the many autorun and installfiles. I tell vista that its okay to open it, but then nothing happens, or some stuff is missing. This program doesnt work.

Gurgle23 (2009-05-18)

"Could not open stringfile"

desaurido (2009-05-19)

I'm running this one on Vista in compatibility mode, mounted it with Daemon Tools Lite.
To those of you having problems, try to set the compatibility mode to other versions of windows and make sure the box Run This Program as Adminstrator is checked.
If it still fails, try installing the latest directX, and if it also fails, look for the "DirectX 9 Starfleet Command 3 fix", but i did not have to use it with this copy.

nittuo (2009-06-02)

Or even better follow this link for the help needed
http://starfleetcommand3.filefront.com/file/sfc3_beta_patch_v534b_all_languages;28800

nittuo (2009-06-03)

And the very last thing... I guess, Patch the game to V_534_b, then go to your configuration file in your Sfc3 folder called "sfc" and switch Makeitso=0 to Makeitso=1, now you won't need the CD anymore.
But I still have the damn .dll issue listed earlier here. Went and got a new copy, even placed it in the source folder as well XP's System32 folder. But nadda, still hick-ups.... sigh.

JamesZero (2010-01-22)

Easy. Star trek online. The space combat in it is derivative of this very game. Not to mention its all around greatness. I'm a beta tester for it and I can not wait till launch.

DarkZero5 (2010-08-19)

play's great on windows 7

fvdham (2012-01-18)

For Star Trek space battles you can play:
"Sins of a Solar Empire" with the "Sacrifice of Angels 2" mod.

wtftpb (2012-01-28)

benjymoto (2012-07-09)

Just wanted to let everyone know that my anti-virus (Comodo) intercepted a Trojan while installing this game. I don't know if anyone else has had this problem, but be careful.
The game runs just fine though.
