Why the software crashes ??
I have windows 7 32 bit and office 2010. The software reads the jpg file but when trying to import directly to word 2010, it crashes giving error no 1284 and saying that some of components are not installed properly. I have copied all 4 crack files in the installed directory and then run the batch file.
I have to copy the text and then paste in word. Is copy/paste method only way to use this software??

Hello, I would need more details instructions to install the programme on Windows XP.
I have opened the rar file, clicked on ABBYY FineReader 11_PE.exe and extracted files in a specific directory.
The Autorun started, I clicked on "Installation of ABBYY Fine Reader 11". Then the InstallShield Wizard started and took a while to install the drivers.
A the end of this, the Programme started and a window asked me to insert a licence, purchase one, exit etc.
This is wehre I don't know what to do and how to use the files in the "crack" folder. I estracted them and saved them in the destination folder with the others. I clicked on the 2 .exe files but they didn't work. I clicked on Del_Lic_Ser.bat but didn't work and the programme gave me an error message. I repaired it and now I still have to sort out the licence issue.

@sandypas76 The instruction is clearly written on how to install software in that rar file.
After installation copy all 4 files from crack folder and paste it in the folder where your software is installed. Normally it is in c:/program files/Abbyy finereader. If you paste there, there must be a notification of overwrite files. Give yes to it. Now run the batch file named 'Del_Lic_Ser.bat'. Thats it. You are ready to use the software.

As it's been the case for years for ABBYY, and here for this 364.6 MiB version too, it bugs after a while and you cannot reinstall it; nothing new here, i experienced it on several computers with several versions over the years.
Great application, sorry i don't have $200 for each of the 89+ software i use for 10mn each in a week.

Have been told this is the best OCR software available (or atleast the most accurate). Hoping so. We're trying to convert my Great Grandfathers WW1 diary from Typewrite text and most free OCR softwares don't pick it up. Will come back here after we've tested it out

Well...it's installed and works fine, but certainly isn't very accurate with faded, 96 year old typewrite text. Very unfortunate...looks like we'll just have to type it out page by page unless we can somehow modify the settings.

It worked like a charm. Unfortunately it wasn't 100% accurate when recognizing in Swedish (it did one miss in a document containing 202 words as far as I can tell). It is, however, really fast! Thank you for this fine upload! :-)

Right-click 'Del_Lic_Ser.bat' and then choose run as admin...
I had the same problem on a friends computer and they weren't an admin user..

Hi and thanks a lot.
I'm having hard times installing this software.
After extracting process I click on "Installation of Abbyy" and this pops out: "PackageName= ' key or 'OSCondition' section not defined in setup. ini and more one msi files exist".
I suppose this is something from my previous attempts to instal ABBYY (non working ones), and though I uninstalled the software with Rove-Uninstaller perhaps some more files left on the PC. How can I manage this and successfuly install this version? Anyone?
