True Romance - The Tarantino Cut DVDRip

True Romance is a 1993 American romance crime film written by Quentin Tarantino and directed by Tony Scott. The title and plot are a play on the titles of romance comic books with their overwrought love stories—very popular in earlier decades—such as "True Life Secrets," "True Stories of Romance", "Romance Tales," "Untamed Love" and "Strange Love." The film stars Christian Slater and Patricia Arquette with an ensemble cast consisting of Brad Pitt, Christopher Walken, Dennis Hopper, Gary Oldman, Chris Penn, Tom Sizemore and James Gandolfini. Val Kilmer is heard but not seen (except in silhouette) as an inner-voice to one of the main characters. Although he is never directly referred to as such, he is suggested as being Elvis Presley. True Romance was a breakthrough of sorts for Tarantino. It was his first screenplay for a major motion picture. He had hoped to direct the film himself, but ended up selling the script. The film's score by Hans Zimmer is a theme based on Gassenhauer from Carl Orff's Schulwerk. This theme combined with a voiceover spoken by Arquette is Tarantino's homage to Terrence Malick's 1973 crime movie Badlands, in which Sissy Spacek speaks the voiceover, and that also shares similar dramatic motifs.

It should be noted that there was never a commercial release called the "Tarantino Cut." This term is used by fans of the movie to refer to a series of fan edits to the movie released on the internet which attempted to restore the movie to something closer to the writer's original vision in the screenplay.
I'm not familiar enough with True Romance to determine whether this is in fact a fan edit with the scenes no longer appearing in chronological order, or rather a theatrical, special or director's cut of the movie.
As one of the tags for this torrent is "Tarantino Cut" while others are "Special Edition", "Blu Ray" and the like, one can only assume that this torrent is mislabeled, either in title or tags.

Film doesn't open in VLC... when it doesn't do that, I'm a bit suspicious. And I'm not about to download some filthy codecs that _may_ work or may be harmful.

Seems to be missing a lot...scene where Clarence goes to the theatre and meets Alabama and the whole 'white boy day' scene where Clarence kills the pimp are absent!
