Well the little girl character is a bit of a liar, so it's not quite clear whether her dad died of natural causes like she alleges, or if she actually murdered him, like two or three other characters in the film. Obviously, our precocious little protagonist is a bit of a sociopath. And I think the reason many of us never saw (let alone heard of) this movie, is because there's a nude scene with an underage Jodie Foster, showing off her virgin buttocks, which can possibly be considered kiddie porn in polite American society. A young Martin Sheen plays the perverted stalker.

Jodie had a stand in for the nude scene. If you watch the movie it is pretty obvious that they had someone stand in due to the way the scene was edited.

He1vis: By current law in many countries, including US states, it's kiddie porn even if the model is an adult, so long as he or she /appears/ to be underage. Hell, at least one person in the US has been convicted for having manga (as in drawings) showing underage nudity, even if it was only a minimal element in a gigantic collection, much of it bought purely for investment; the issues were in pristine condition (note: referencing from memory, omissions and minor distortion may occur). Even so, I doubt if a prosecutor would be dumb enough to take on this movie. Then again, never underestimate the stupidity of the authorities and a hysterical public. Best keep it quiet...
