There is a great deal of dialog in Italian only along with some German. If you don't understand Italian, you'll want to have subtitles:

I've watched 40 films so far this year and only 4 I have rated as excellent. I've just finished watching this film and all I can say is, absolutely excellent! A very well crafted film from director Spike Lee

A/V quality is excellent, thanks.

This is an OK movie, the story fails to move and the lack of action leaves you feeling a bit let down, an overdose of subs in the film make it feel more like an Italian movie than american, it needed more work and a stronger hero that leads the way, but a welcome tribute to the African-american soilders of WW2. all in all it was a basic movie where if you never seen it, you will have lost nothing
