I followed all the steps above and it runs fine no problems at all but it suddenly crashes at the future 2099 spiderman intro at the part where i must defeat all P.E.P officers. Is that a glitch or something?

The game works great for me, however when I go to fight off the PEP soldiers my game crashes. Is this just another result of an inadequate patch? If so does any know where I could find a new patch?

This game is a very glitchy i struggle to make him jump or do any webbing i have to press the button 10 times to make him do anything.

guys who got the prob with the buggy controls.....i had the exact same problem and i was getting frustrated.....but i when i changed my screen resolution at 1280x760 all the buttons were working....i would love it if a new crack or patch could come out to fix it but till then i can w8 playing in lowe resolution....hope that helped :)

Yes, I had the same buggy control problem. Set my graphics properties as low as they would go, and the game runs smooth enough now. Computer should be able to handle it, but I guess it's a common problem.
Unfortunately, though, the game crashes during the 2099 portion of the introductory level every time. I know others are having this same problem... Any insights?

Same issue with the 2099 tutorial, it crashes in the cutscene with the 3 officers. My machine easily covers minimum reqs and I've updated vid, audio and mobo drivers, tried installing a different release and crack, still crash. Possibly a problem wit nVidia cards?

Game works fine, No problems downloaded fairly quickly although the speed was 500kb for 80% and last 20% was dragged down to about 70kb
ON THE OTHER HAND: Game! is awful.. if your still going to download after this then prepare for disappointment.
Typical game.. kill lots of little guys which then follows by killing a bigger guy done. thats it repetitive rubbish

Best Spider-man game ever made? No shit. From all the comments I read (no freerunning and shitty gameplay) I can say the best Spidey game ever is Web of Shadows. Yes, i has it's own problems, but if SD is really that shitty, buggy and screwd up, it can't beat Web of Shadows.
It's true that we must not complain about it, since we haven't paid, but I guess developpers were just talking too much.

Installation went smoothly. Pasted in the crack.
Now, here's the problem:
When I try to fire up the game, nothing happens. I can see "Game.exe" appearing in the Task Manager for a couple seconds, but it just seems to crash immediately.
My computer should be able to handle it fine...so I'm a little confused about the cause of the problem.
I've reinstalled it and tried it again, but no deal.
Can anyone suggest a course of action I should take?

got the game to run but the controls are really unresponsive. also the game crashed at the entrance to the jungle mans challenge to get one of the fragments back. its a shame cos i was enjoying it. very similar to batman arkum asylum so its a good game

The 2099 levels are very cpu intensive.
I have gtx 460 and i have completed more than 1\2 of the game. some how it seemd to stutter a lot in the 2099 levels. it would seems as the game would just shutdown.

I have a problem at the Carnage level. When I get to the top of the circular tower, the game starts loading the next part (final battle with carnage I guess) indefinitely. Anyone else got this problem. Rest of the game not a single problem or error or what so ever.
p.s. I've noticed that the dynamical fanspeed control of most recent videocards is pretty bad for keeping ur card cool enough to function properly. Customized gpu bios fancontrol with nibitor much better.

Emm guys, I dunno if this work for you guys, but if the game crashes at certain point, like when you encounter pep soldiers, try playing it windowed mode. It works for me. Hope it helps!

and yeah, one more thing, if you started the game, and it shows a black blank screen. ok, wait for some minutes, maybe for 15-20 mins. It'll start later. and if it does not start for, maybe an hour, ok, now there is something wrong.

the game works fine on my notebook, I have finished it. sometime it crash though, here's what i do
1. crash at 2099 spidey tutorial, I downloaded the last driver for my graphics. nvidia geeforce 310m 512
2. slow control respond. I changed game resolution to 800x600.
3. sometimes some doors wont open when it should be, automatically. or endless loading. I quit the the game, exit to to windows and open again then continue last saved

if any of you guys have problems with controls--> enable vsync, turn all settings to low quality and run in 640X480 or 800X600 screen resolution. If any of these dont work disable Catalyst A.I under 3D settings for ATI usert. hope this helps :)

This is a fucked up copy! There is no such file type as .r00 .r01 etc. Yes I know it is supposed to be a rar file but even if I was to rename (how many?) nearly 80 files? to .rar this won't work. It asks for the file .r00 to insert it. No matter what is tried this won't work from what I can tell. using the default .rar file gives an error too. Waste of time and bandwith. Now if someone figured this out easily, let me know. In the meantime I will look for one with at the very least, valid file types!
