Movie review. The torrent was of good speed, the quality of the vid and sound was great, and the file didn't have any problems whatsoever.
I'm a fan of Zombie movies. I'm a fan of BAD movies (House of the Dead, Manos, even Plan 9).
And I thought this movie was utter horseshit.
The first like 20 minutes of it worked out decently. Admittedly the main character (who produced an inconsistent but cardboard performance worthy of Keanu Reeves) pissed me off as being a soldier that didn't keep a loaded gun (why?) and apparently had some sort of emotional backstory (which wasn't even touched upon except in random hints which served no purpose in the film) and loved the phrase "It's complicated". But overall it started playing like a good remake. The chaos, the confusion, the fact that stupid people do stupid things and get themselves killed in stupid ways.
And then, once they had their hooks in, they dropped the curtain, opened the door, and revealed the goat.
The black soldier who knew how to use a melee slashing weapon to dismember heads seemingly AT WILL but never once fired a gun competently, the young private who turned into a zombie and then actually wasn't really a zombie but instead a namby-pamby smoothskin lover, the brother who for 90% of the movie keeps himself fully held together then breaks down when his mother, before managing to eat him, is bounced like a ball off of a humvee that somehow has bulletproof, soundproof, and reinforced glass that managed to get completely broken in by a single body, the CDC doctor who starts out seemingly nice then turns into a tardo dick but then dies in perhaps the only satisfying scene in the movie, the bitch girlfriend who begins displaying classic symptoms of going into shock then becomes uber-badass, the fact that all of them are the world's best crack shots with pistols, never missing headshots and taking targets of opportunity like they were all black ops, and all capable of carrying weapons that should blow them off their feet...
The list goes on. Though the zombies using assault rifles was a neat touch.
1 point for having zombies still remember how to do things -- at least for a while... 1 point for the sheer awesomeness of having one of the side characters, once he's been turned down by the girl he was gonna score with because he bled on her, tell her "I'll give you money."... and that's it. 2 points out of... let's say a million.
Long story short, and I rarely ever say this: This movie is not worth seeing. Still gonna seed my 1.50, but please, god, don't let it be you I'm seeding to, dear reader. You don't deserve that.

I'd like to make a few statements about this movie and the comments.
eovti: The movie would be called Dusk of the Dead ;) Night of the living dead, Dawn of the dead, Day of the Dead, Dusk of the dead, that would mean no more of the dead sequels :(
Gman069: Yes he does, he makes some of the best zombie horror movies.
spike242: Another remake? They remade Night of the living dead (1968) in 1990, Dawn of the dead (1978) in 2004, Day of the dead (1985) in 2008 and between dawn and day they made land of the dead in 2005.
blue squad: I'm not quite sure what you meant there but George A. Romera didn't actually make this movie. He wrote Day of The Dead (1985) but for this movie the screenplay was written by Jeffrey Reddick and directed by Steve Miner.
So this comes down to, George didn't make this movie and it was probably low budget.
I'd also like to include that this movie not a sequel to Night of the living dead and Dawn of the dead. It skips straight to land of the dead.

@Gedrean i have to disagree with you about the best scene..it is in the hospital when the zombie runs on the ceiling..and that being not over done and only shot once in the movie makes it watchable......i also like the lab scene how it reminds me of resident evil...on and i fucking hate how they automatically know how to make giant flamethrowers..what are they all offspring of magyvver...and the girlfreind couldnt of possibly knocked all the canister headswith two swings....

I simply can't trust the fact that people are saying this is bad all over the commentfield...
Why? The whole comment field of EXPENDABLES was filled with how I'm not supposed to waste time to it and spare myself from the horrible movie and blah blah blah the same damn story of people telling me what to think...
And ta-dah; Expendables fucking rocked. I think so, all my friends think so.
So yeah, I'm going to download this. AND to be honest I'd hope that people would stop doing the whole "I'LL SAVE YOU" heroics and stop saying the whole "don't download!!" thing in their reviews. I'd like a neutral review.. one I could judge myself from what has been objectively told in the review.
So... will download... some of the crap described by "Gedrean" did sound pretty damn bad though.
And I really liked the "Dawn of the dead" remake.. it had a nice feel to it.

The original is a completely unwatchable pile of shit, and even the small amount you see of Tom Savini's amazing effects can't save it. I'm hoping this one is a bit more on track.
