Awesome! iMovieHD rocks when it comes to importing older files and making just a short clip. The new iMovie is nice but way to 21st century for some old .mov's just to be cut together.

I clicked on the .dmg file, drug the iMovie.app to my Applications folder and it worked on 10.6.8.
