OK i tried the DS.config
and changed the line " App.Language=ru "
App.Language=es, App.Language=fr and so on
all i get are a loads of stars instead of words?
what am i missing???

there is english audio in the game. if you change the ds.cfg to anything other than ru the background audio turns to english, so english is in there somewhere

a english version(on there forum)
And i have tried the ds.cfg were it says
App.Language=ru
i changed that to App.Language=de and es/fr/it
all the in game menu just shows *****
so if any nice person wants to sort it

but no luck so far..
english speach so far using EN instead of RU in the cfg file

if you look on the install dvd
then use winrar on data4.cab
you will see english wav files
also if you look at the install ini on the disk
one part says
[Languages]
Default=0x0019
count=1
key0=0x0019
now then if only we knew what the to put instead
of 0=x0019
but i dont think we will get the in game menu to work.

its clear for me that it can be done ( english menu )
we just have to find a way to " DEBUG " the font.
when we change to audio en , the game doesnt recognize the new font. we just need to debug it ;\

If you want to get the audio in english:
1. Install the game

2. Browse to the game?s installation folder.

3. Open DS.cfg file. Open this file with a text editor.

4. Locate the line App.Language=ru. Change this to App.Language=en and save the file.

5. Now the audio will be english but in game text will still be Russian.

I tried for ages to get this game to run using windows 7 and couldnt even get daemon tools to install, it just kept looping when getting to the restart screen. re-installed windows xp pro and mounted the game with daemon tools lite and couldnt believe that after all the mucking about I just clicked on the desktop icon and the game fired up. all be it in rusky ! managed to suss out the options screen and got it running maxed out at 1680x1050 with 5.1 sound too. changed the sound file to english and now all onscreen dialogue is just stars or asterisks or whatever you call them. i have this on the 360 so maybe able to translate the menu options soon. managed to exit to desktop then restart and continue from last checkpoint, just a bit of trial and error. works great its a shame the makers arent gonna make it for the english market. cheers to all who posted their advice and help etc and to the uploader of the game.

@sakti01, There is no NODVD fix as of yet.All the ones floating around now are Fake they are original exe.
New Starforce only checks for disk once every few days or sometimes weeks.That is why you do not need to mount image after it verifies first time.It will ask again to insert disk eventually.
I've tried to crack the english text but all references to fonts are encrypted and beyond my limited abilities.I've even tried comparing the files from the xbox360 version.
If anyone is interested in trying to crack English text.here are two files you want to look at:

H.Font.cache

I installed, I installed the antiforced I mount it then I click the dark sector icon then I pass the check disk and the screen it goes black (I guess cause its loading the game) and suddenly it goes back to my destock
Sometime after doing that the screen gets me a memory error (the screen goes blue and then restart)

what operating system are you using friend? Im using windows xp pro fully updated with service pack 3 and all the other updates up until a few days ago. i just mounted the image using daemon tools lite and clicked the desktop icon not expecting the game to load and it did to my surprise. I wonder if this depends on your hardware such as motherboard type etc and chipsets? Try updating your operating system and remount image without installing the anti starforce driver and give that a go, u never know. If you cant get it to work get it on the xbox 360 bud - play.com had it brand new for £8 recently. Sorry cant help you anymore, good luck.

seems to give you around 4 days of play before asking for disk. i uninstalled but kept save game and then re-installed mounting with daemon tools and continued from where left off. bit of a pain but its a good game. apparently russian coders asked digital extremes if they could port it to pc which is why its only in russian on pc.

here is the solution...................
it is H.Misc_ru.cache file problem........
so cut the H.Misc_ru.cache file from game folder and paste on any other place.....but after cut it u does not so the menu......but the game will play smoothly...no crash point will come...after clear the crash point just paste the H.Misc_ru.cache file in the same destination

Dude, this game, is amazingly good! It's really creative and the gameplay is great. The graphics are pretty good, typical UT3 engine stuff, which always looks nice.
This is maybe the third Russian game I've discovered that is really well done and should have been released in the USA. There are some very talented developers over in Russia. You guys should come to America and show company's like EA how to be creative, because they're asshats.
