you ppl are wrong... soundspectrum now has it to where even if you block it's access in the install or even with peer guardian 2 when it comes up, it still asks you for the new key that was sent to the guy's email address...

Listen .... You have to block the internet access not only at install but ALWAYS ! If you do this it will work fine. If you have a modem just turn it off during install, configure your firewall to not allow access after install, then turn your modem back on.

I blocked the instalation file and the ip address nothing else, and i hasnt reverted to the trial version..
However it was installed on a laptop now i cant get that working, (because the files were allowed access to the net) i guess something was writen to the reg, anyone got any clues how i can fix that?

Ok, I have tried blocking the installation file, the different applications of the program, and blocked the IP address. I think something is sticking around on my computer after I unistall and then install again. It worked on my laptop with norton but it will not work with zone Alarm. Any help is greatly appreciated.

BEFORE... You install!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Unplug internet access. Install g force. Run your player ( I Tunes or whatever). In preferences untick "update weekly". Then reboot computer. Then reconnect internet. Works great from now on....

got this info from jody b designs from another torrent site and it works people. (THIS IS FOR 3.7.5 RUNNING ON WINDOWS XP)
First, remove all traces of sound spectrum from your pc (uninstall g force using add/remove programs. Next delete remaining soundspectrum folder from your hard-drive (Usually in C:\ Program files). Next, search for soundspectrum and then gforce using search option in start bar and delete anything that appears in search results. Finally select run in start bar and type REGEDIT and press enter. Then press Ctrl+f and type in soundspectrum and press enter. Delete any highlighted entries. Repeat previous step but type in gforce instead of soundspectrum and delete any highlighted entries. Unplug your internet connection, install gforce program and then input the serial given with the download/program (usually in a wordpad file). Next block all FOUR gforce applications in your firewall.
Next goto C:\program start.txt
open this boot start.txt file (opens in notepad) and in the first few lines it has the following (just change it to match what it says here below and save)

You can also block your computer and realplayer (its the application 'I' use to listen to music) from connecting to the soundspectrum website by pasting the following:

into your computers hostfile list located at
C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc
the file is called hosts and can be opened using wordpad
and make sure you copy the numbers that are there next to 'local host' in the host file to begin with, before each of the above web addresses you enter for it to work.
make sure you don't use winamp on your computer because it is mentioned in the wordpad files in the g-force program itself and i think somehow makes it revert to a trial version

You can block soundspectrum.com and www.soundspectrum.com using hosts file, this worked for me.
If you made a mistake and it has reverted to trial, delete the folder C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\SoundSpectrum\G-Force, it will revert till platinum, but will go trial again if you haven't blocked it yet

Sorry for my comment, had some errors blocking it with host file. Found an alternative.
Replace the file C:\Documents and Settings\[User Name]\Application Data\SoundSpectrum\G-Force\version update info.txt with an empty text document, and mark it as read only. Disable updates if you want the program to stop spamming about new updates. No firewall/host file needed.

look this is really simple, if you installed this and you still have the trial version, uninstall, go to administrator, click the organize in the top left corner, go to folder and search options, go to the view tab and click the "show hidden files",apply or press ok, go back to the administrator and you will see an appdata folder, go to g-force and delete the whole folder, disconnect the internet, install g-force again, uncheck the two boxes at the end of installation, go to your visuals and open the settings for your g-force and "never" check for updates, apply it and exit restart your computer and tada! its like magic, no its g-force without the trial, hope this helps everyone, it helped me and i have all the soundspectrum visuals working, btw i used to be a noob (technically still am) but what i mean is i learned everything i know about torrents and how to work this magic by reading these and all other comments where there's a will there's a way

I am on Vista 64x. I tried following the directions, but could not locate the "Versions" folder to input serial info. I tried disconnecting from the net while installing. Then i changed the boot txt to "false" for updates, but that didn't work, every time i run it still says trial version... :(

I got it to work...
by editing the boot start txt. as mentioned above
Inserted my key in the Versions Update txt.
it was located in AppData/Roaming/Soundspectrum/G-force/
Taskbar Search for Firewall, chose advanced firewall. Clicked on the right side "remove filters" then found all the hidden Spectrum things. click them did block all connections, then right clicked them to enable rule. blam blocked! started wmp inserted the same key as before blam it works.

Thanks for this - after a lot of effort I have FINALLY got this working. I had all the same problems that others have mentioned wrt installing without internet, blocking and still it reverts to the trial. It all seems to be to do with the restart and loading the program for the first time.
Clear your computer of any trace of G-Force or Soundspectrum. Just do two searches, one with each word, making sure that you have set your comp to display all system files as people have already said, and delete. Especially important is the file under
Use your firewall to block anything to do with G-Force already on your PC - they will still be there even if you have uninstalled the app, as an inactive application. Do this for Inbound and Outbound connections.
*TURN OFF YOUR INTERNET AND DON'T RECONNECT UNTIL!*
Install G-Force using the serial provided; uncheck both boxes at the end.
Go into "Computer" and search (again, ALL SYSTEM FILES INCLUDED) for "version update info.txt". On my PC there were 4 copies of this file for some reason, hidden around, but not in, the recycle bin. Open the file, delete the whole contents and save - then right click on the file, go to "properties" and select "read only" under attributes. Do this for all copies you have of the file obviously, but for some reason on my PC, editing one edited them all.
Start the G-Force toolbar and under "toolbar preferences" there is a dropdown arrow with some options. Deselect "update weekly" if it's not already deselected.
RESTART COMPUTER, with INTERNET STILL OFF AT ALL TIMES!
Load up G-Force again, this time playing in your media player. While playing, just check your firewall and updates once again to make sure they're still set to block/no updates.
Reconnect to the internet. When I did this, G-Force reverted back to updating itself automatically, and I think this was what was causing the problem. Deselect it one more time (you may have to reboot G-Force for the reversion to happen).
Load up G-Force for the last time, connected to the internet... It should work fine. Hope this helps.
NB: if you get asked for a serial again whilst G-Force is running, that seems to be it (at least for me) and you have to start again.

A simple fix:
1. Uninstall G-Force and delete the folder AppData/Roaming/Soundspectrum/G-force/
2. Disconnect your internet.
3. Reinstall G-force using the given serial code.
4. Restart. (Do not reconnect the internet)
5. Use a anti-virus software (Eg: McAffe) to block all connections to the internet with the applications found in Program Files\SoundSpectrum\G-Force
6. Reconnect your internet.
7. DONE! :D

I had some problems finding the "version update info" -I never found it in spite of doing an EXTENDED search, so i just firewalled all 4 apps with norton internet security, ( on xp) and changed the the start txt. file as instructed, and so far it workes really great! ( maybe it workes because the version update file does not exists? I hope i will avoid any password problems in the future. A big up for everyone charing various procedures in the comments, cheers!!

OMG, finally got it to work! Just do what @110110010 says! But for you to have the version update file you must run G-Force in your media player once before exiting! For added measure, follow what @TheMixingBowl says about the Firewall. Search Start for 'firewall' and click on the one with 'Advanced Security'. Go to 'Inbound Connections' and find G-Force programs there. If not available, create your own rule.

Ok, this is how I fixed...was simple.
All I did was:
1)install with serial
2)disconnect
3)restart
4)went to
5)deleted everything
6)changed Preferences (Windows Media Player).txt to READONLY
7)went back one dir and changed Profile.txt to READ only
8)connected internet and started windows media and it worked fine
