I reformat my pc and re-install this.
Following instructions using keygen1 or 2 didn't work.
What i did was cracked it first with keygen 3 then i open keygen 2 and patched vegas.
I used the serial generated but change the first 3 charaters to "1R8".
It works!!!

Ooh comes with a free trojan.
I don't pretend to know much about this sort of thing, but Malwarebytes found a trojan in the file. Hopefully someone will just say I'm incorrect and that the "trojan" was something else.

Ah hmm, it thinks Keygen 1 is a trojan. When I go to patch, I select the vegas pro 10 file, and then it wants a shared plugins installation, where do I tell it for that one?

Feel free to delete my stupid comments. I did manage to get the patch installed, however all the serials it is generating are 1HF-________ and it wants 1R8, simply changing it to 1R8 doesn't work either. I guess I'm just not smart enough to figure this out.

the auth code ooo didnt work so if anyone has a problem run the second keygen as admin and then choose vegas pro 9 and use the auth code there. it worked for me.

In this case trying to register online is not very smart, and it may cause even more problems to reinstall the program. There must be some reg entries left.
You could try doing a pc system restore to the date before the program was installed, and then try again or try this: Start> Run> regedit > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Sony Creative Software\Vegas Pro\10.0 * remove all and try again.

reinstalled windows. did as described. result: the wrong serial. maybe it just don't work on my pc. anyway thank you for assistance.

Hey, don't use trial version.
Use the serial generated by patch, but change ''1HF'' (the first 3 charaters) to "1R8".
After activation, block Vegas10 (exe file) with firewall and set all update options to manual.

So for some reason, the keygen authorization code doesn't want to work and whenever I try typing in the code that SirWolf29 offered as a fix to the problem, registration always crashes. Any help or ideas?
